Dear Judges:
As a student here at Harding University High School, the graduation project has provided
me with the opportunity to express my dedication to the rights that animals have but are not
fulfilled. I chose to research Animal Experimentation to further my knowledge on animal rights
and to further my knowledge on animal rights and to explain to the reader the rights and broken
laws of animals.
When I graduate from Harding I plan to become a veterinarian. I took interest into this
topic because I feel as though everyone and everything's rights should be respected. In no way is
experimenting on animals ethical just as experimenting on humans is not ethical. As a
veterinarian I would have to deal; with the aftermath of the animals that were experimented on.
Product testing on animals is an unethical practice that is not required by law and
according to Cruelty Free International, 95% of drugs that works on animals will not work on
humans. For my product I created a scary movie trailer and a DIY No Sew Dog Bed. The scary
movie trailer shows some of the scary parts of animal experimentation that is not seen by the
public. The dog bed is for animals that were victims of animal experimentation. I plan to donate
beds after the presentation.
The graduation project has made me a better writer and presenter. I was able to further
my knowledge about animals and some of the things animals go through but are hidden from the
public eye. This experience also allowed me to make the public aware of what happens in these
facilities. I was able to decide whether or not I want to be a veterinarian for sure or not and it will
impact my future.
Thank you for taking time to meet me and listen to my project. I hope that I was able to
make you more aware about animal experimentation and to hopefully persuade you to make an
end to animal experimentation.
Sincerely,
DaNajah Linda Handy

Dear Judges:
As a student here at Harding University High, the Graduation Project has provided me
the opportunity to probe into a topic I had long wanted to know more about but just had not
taken the time to explore in depth. I chose to research the effects of global warming on the
Earths atmosphere because of an experience I had in elementary school.
My third grade science classs field trip to Discovery Place nine years ago to see a
display on the uses of Energy sparked my interest in the effects of energy production and its use
on our climate. I have sustained my interest in energys atmospheric effects, and therefore I have
been involved in several Earth Day celebrations. I decided to focus my Graduation Project on the
effects of global warming so that I could expand my knowledge and dispel some of the myths
about this subject.
Over the years I learned that carbon dioxide and other so-called greenhouse gasses are just some
of the gasses found naturally in the atmosphere. However, the most important thing I learned is
that many of the gasses are released into the Earths atmosphere because of human behavior.
This latter knowledge is what motivated me to do more research to find out what we can do to
prevent these man-made, harmful effects and possibly to lessen the destruction caused by natural
occurrences. My research proved that over many years the effects of carbon dioxide will
lead to global warming, and without intervention, carbon dioxide will lead to an
uninhabitable future.
Thank you for your time and interest. I hope you enjoy my presentation as much as I enjoyed
preparing it.
Sincerely,
