Describe aspects of American post-World War II domestic policy


(McCarthyism, Civil rights ACT of 1964, Voting rights acts, Constitutional amendments.
Objectives (Explicit):

SWBAT describe and express domestic turmoil brought on by factors cause from WW2 from a mixture
of Racism, Prejudice, and everyday life.
SWBAT Express similar or differences from primary sources in a critical and structural product, either
from a paper or debate.

Evidence of Mastery (Measurable):

- Assign Subject matters to be discussed during a debate that invokes critical thinking from outside of
normal and abstract thought.
- Example, student should be able to understand mentality of prior years and understand the similarities
and or differences to contemporary times.
- Enable critical thinking strategies by discussing the ethical problems racism during this period while
connecting to similarities if any to contemporary times.
Sub-objectives, SWBAT (Sequenced from basic to complex):

SWBAT Identify key concepts from a historical timeline and produce critically produced arguments
and concepts.
SWBAT Produce ethical dilemmas and question of said time about actions that were taken.
SWBAT Describe the countries sudden shift to a more conservative nation and its reactionary hippie

first and come together and find common ground in the very end to form a well thought out

- Exit ticket or mini written message making a connection to either policies, actions, laws, heads of state
or overall reaction to following question. World War 2 was one of the most enduring events humans
had to endure and saw the creation of new weapons and complete change to the status quo of nations,
in a short answer, describe how often do social points of view tend to change, is it through presidencies,
natural disasters, or terrorism? It can be anything outside of the three events so feel free to answer to
your best ability.
