This is the first lesson from reading program in enrichment classes, for grade 1 girls and it is all about
Bad Bat Story.
Teaching Goal
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to recognize the creatures through reading the story in
a plenary and in matching activity.
Learning Objectives:
Students may know the letters (t) and (d) and I hope they recognize the sounds and being able to
compare.
Students may know that the bat is appears at night (in the dark), but they may not know the reason or
what he is doing in the morning (I will tell them that he is sleeping in morning).
Some students may get bored from the story by the time, but I will try to play with my voice tone (by
acting animals sounds).
Some students feel shy from reading, I will help them in pronounce the words.
I will use my body language effectively and I will show the children the hand expressions when I will
read the story for them (the bat can fly and I will use my hands).

Students will do the matching activity after non-fiction?
I model for them one example of matching.
Stand up all, group by group. Come and sit in
the carpet.
Now we will read the story.
Go to your spot, again group by group.
Now, we will match in this paper.
In groups, you should tell me what do you
have?
Let's begin.
Good job everyone.
Well done for today.
I have fun with you girls.
See you later.
