PURPOSE OF THE POSITION


POSITION
Operate as Engineer for vessel berth-age, towage and operational dredging.

Carry out maintenance duties on the floating plant, associated port infrastructure equipment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensure all engineering installations on floating plant is maintained to industry and legislative
standards and available for immediate use

Rostered Engineer duties for shipping and dredging

Compliance with Company policies and procedures

Compliance with all Maritime regulations and legislative requirements

Cost effective and timely maintenance of floating plant engineering, navigational aids and
associated port infrastructure equipment

Cost effective and timely maintenance of cool store refrigeration plants

To advise the Marine Manager or their delegated person of an unusual nature or issues that
may be of concern or interest to Eastland Port Ltd. When an issue or circumstance is outside
their experience advice shall be sought from the Senior Tug Master/Labour Supervisor or
Marine Manager/Pilot.

All other tasks as reasonably requested

be of concern or interest to Eastland Port Ltd.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


REQUI RED
At least 5 years experience in port marine operations and/or in sea going marine engineering.

Experience in modern harbour tugs will be an advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING


TRAINING
Appropriate current marine licences or a minimum of MEC3.

Current Maritime Medical of Fitness for Seafarers.

Trade Certificate in Automotive Engineering.

STCW
