Lesson details: The letter Ee The students are introduced to letter Ee and they have to form and write the letter

Lesson Procedure :
08:30 The lesson started with Hello song- 8:55- Review questions
reminding them of the classroom rules- singing Assessment activity on the mat! Nada wasnt
the days of the week and the months of the year- able to ask all the students she chose few
review the sounds (swat activity)- Hello song students to assess.
(TPR) the students were warmed up.
9:00 the class has ended.

10 minutes

8:41 Nada introduced the sound of the week

and show them some e pictures flash cards.
She introduced the colour of the week (White and
black) lovely activity on the board.

Reviewed some sounds using flash cards-

students were saying the sounds.

8:44 Cycle 1 started.

Students started working in their centres (Cycle
1).

Center 1: colouring e pictures.

Center 2: coulouring e letters.
Center 3: writing Ee
Center 4: play dough activity.

does the teacher do and what do the students

You need to plan for documentation when you
assess your students.
Teaching
Strengths

It seems that you have an excellent relationships with your MST and your students, well-done.
You voice is soft and you are a very friendly person and this is exactly what KG1 students need.
You have used classroom management strategies to control the students (happy face) - very well.
You have lovely activities and resources in your centres.
You always move around and support the students who need help.

Suggestions
For the colour activity game on the board, you need to make sure that the pictures are at the level
on the students.
You need to show them how to write the letter Ee on the board before asking them to do it
individually.
Your second outcome is not reflected in your centres you dont have an activity to match sounds
to a letter when reading and writing.
You had only one cycle, you should make everybody experience every activity. You have to rotate
between centres.

You need to spend time to show how to form the letter e.

Dont say test, just say activity or quiz.

You didnt ask every single students and you have no documentation to show who was able to
achieve the outcome of the day.

Assessment should be done individually you have to apply formative assessment strategies
when you are teaching in your classes (in your guided experience centre). Use the assessment
checklist while the students are doing the activities, go around and take notes while they are doing
their activities.
Language errors- if any:
You language is generally good and you are able to communicate with your students in English very well. You
have few errors please make sure that you write your instructions and show it to your MST or MCT to avoid
having those little errors.
Personal Aims for next lesson

I will focus on the following:

Making sure that my activities are matching my learning outcomes.

Use a checklist to assess my students in the guided experience centre.
Rotate between the centres and give the students the chance to experience every activity.
