Double

Create stunning

with Carolynes double

N
ormal heat embossing with
stamps can be used to create a
nice raised effect on your cards
or projects, but using the same embossing
powder over the raised areas of a piece of
dry embossed card can create a much
deeper and more dramatic result!
The process is very simple and
involves dry embossing a piece of card
with an embossing folder, then using a
VersaMark or another tacky ink pad to
ink the raised areas of the card. You then
add your choice of embossing powder
and heat set it using a heat tool.
For this set of cards, I used iridescent
two-tone embossing powders (available
in a multitude of colours) from Lindys
Stamp Gang to create a two-tone effect
background that just looks luxurious. Not
to mention, it has a lot of impact and
works really well when teamed up with
the focal point of a stamped or printed
sentiment.

T
hese cute kitten trios from Lili of

rubber and digital versions, giving
you lots of options for how to use them and
even how large you want your image to be.
Ive used a mix of both on my cards.
I used alcohol markers to colour them,
which are permanent and can be applied to
a variety of different surfaces. Always use a
dye-based ink to stamp, and make sure you
choose a good quality, smooth coated card.
Dont use regular paper or the colours wont
blend and your ink will just soak into it.
When colouring, I nd I get the best
