Power Line Communication (PLC) or communication via the power cable, also
known as Power Line Digital Subscriber Line (PDSL), mains communication, Power Line
Telecom (PLT), Power Line Networking (PLN), or Broadband over Power Lines (BPL) is
system for carrying data on a conductor also used for electric power transmission. So the
electricity network in addition to functioning as a power source is also a conductor media
communication.
Level data via an electric cable communication systems vary widely. Carrier low
frequency (100-200 kHz) in high-voltage transmission lines can carry one or two analog
voice circuits, or circuits telemetry and control the data rate is equivalent to a few hundred
bits per second; however this circuit possibly for miles in length. Higher data rates generally
imply shorter ranges, a local area network operating at millions of bits per installation can
only cover one floor of an office building, but removes specific network cabling.
Decide whether the following statements are true or false by referring to the
information in the text
