Caquet is the proposal of this research. Since English writing is one of the four major abilities in
English language development, Moreover, this is considered one of the most difficult skills in the
EFL students. The writing is one of the most important skills that help the interaction with other
people expressing ideas, knowledge, and thoughts according to the social context. According to
(Rincn, 2010, pg. 100) writing is understood to involve not only knowledge about the structure
of language but also knowledge about the context in which writing happens, the purpose of writing,
and skills in the use of language. Writing development takes place by developing learners 'potential
and by providing feedback to learners' responses.

In addition, writing is the basis for learning and enriching students' knowledge. In addition,
this study focuses on the development of writing through short stories contextualized in the rural
area. therefore, the purpose is to achieve a progress in students in acquiring vocabulary, improving
their grammar writing and awakening in them creativity at the time of writing, thus giving the
freedom to choose their theme according to their social context. on the other hand, reading
strategies will be implemented which will aim to engage students in the world of writing by
arousing interest in not only writing but also speaking a second language. Eventually, the
methodologies that will be implemented, it will be beneficial for the student as they focus on
adapting a pleasant environment for students, in addition to the freedom to create their stories of
the subject they want and the writing workshops they will receive to achieve a good result.
Considering all, the enrichment of knowledge through writing will help students in the rural area
providing a transformation in their social environment with the acquisition of a new way of
viewing the world through writing.

Currently, writing is a fundamental basis in the acquisition of a second language, since this
guarantees the enrichment of vocabulary. On the other hand, the implementation of short stories
contextualized in the rural area will be innovation for the students of this area since in Colombia
rural education is one of the most difficult lands in terms of resources and educational materials.
Also, it is difficult to find teachers who dictate only English, for this reason there is a great need
to support these students by getting them to know a second language and motivating them to
develop the ability of writing as well to advance in the research looking for learning methodologies
not only for students of the urban area but also for the rural area. In short, one of the greatest
ambitions of this study is to provide meaningful learning with the contribution of innovative
methodologies in rural students.

Considering the above, the implementation of new strategies in the educative field, enables
future teachers not only to know the external needs of the students but also appreciate necessities
inside the student, considering the goals that students have, the way they want to learn and how
teachers can contribute to student learning. For this reason, this study considers that education in
Colombia needs more resources from the government and from the teachers in terms of the search
for new teaching methods. In conclusion, this research study provided an innovative and creative
strategy to English teachers in the rural area in Florencia Caquet which will help them the
opportunity to bring different teaching strategies, what capture the attention in the students and
motivate their interest towards the writing process and the production of this kind of stories.
