In this unit you will make difference between the Object


Pronouns and the Possessive Pronouns.

We use the object pronouns to replace a noun,to avoid


repetition.

We use the possessive pronouns to mean possession.You


dont need to put a noun after them.

The seven basic pronouns have one form when they
are used as subjects and another form when they are
used as objects.
Subjects are what the sentence is about.
Objects are what is affected by the action of the
subject.
I like whisky. (whisky is the object)

Object pronouns are
used instead of nouns,
usually because we
already know what the
object is. It makes the
sentence easier to read
and understand and
avoids repetition. We
normally use object
pronouns after a verb or a
preposition

COUNTABLE NOUNS

A countable noun can be


1. singular (apple) or

2. plural (apples)

Countable nouns are things we can


count.
So we can say one apple ,two apples
etc.

An uncountable nouns has only one form. (rice)

Uncountable nouns are things we cannot
