The sad story of the harmless disposable

plastic bags that, with so much sleeve,

give us the packers of the supermarket ...
Information released by the US
Environmental Protection Agency reveals
that approximately 500 billion trillion
bags of plastic bags are consumed each
year around the world. (National
Geographic News September 2, 2003)
Less than 1% of the bags are recycled. It
is more expensive to recycle a plastic bag
than to produce a new one.
- Christian Science Monitoring Newspaper

"There is a rough economy, behind the

recycling of plastic bags. Processing and
recycling a ton of plastic bags costs $
4000; the same amount is sold in the
commodities market at $ 32 ".
- Jared Blumenfeld (Director of the Department of Environment in San
Francisco)

So
Where are the bags going?
A 1975 study showed that transoceanic vessels were collectively
dumping 4 million kilos of plastic into the sea each year. The reason the
world's landfills were not flooded with plastic was because most of
them ended up in the ocean.

It's possible...
There are people who ignore all this ...
but you do not

YOU ALREADY KNOW!!!

It's just a matter of making a point of

it; and after a while it becomes
customary to bring back - as before - the
"net" for the warrant ...
If you do not redistribute it, nothing will happen to you. If you do,
you'll feel better.
