Pay Scale: (i) Professor: Rs. 37,400/- to Rs. 67,000/- + AGP Rs. 10,000/-
(ii) Associate Professor: Rs. 37,400/- to Rs. 67,000/- + AGP Rs. 9,000/-

(iii) Assistant Professor: Rs. 15,600/- to Rs. 39,100/- + AGP Rs. 6,000/-

Essential Qualification:

The qualifications are in accordance with the UGC regulations 2010 and subsequent amendments as adopted by the UGC.

PROFESSOR:

(A)
i. An eminent Scholar with Ph.D in the concerned /allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality actively engaged in research with
evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and /or research/policy papers.
ii. A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university/college and/or experience in research at the University/National Level institutions ,
including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level .
iii. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-medicated teaching learning process.
iv. A satisfactory score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) under the Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as per the UGC
guidelines.
Or,
(B) Outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the
concerned/ allied/relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR:

(i) Good academic record with a Ph. D. Degree in the concerned/allied / relevant disciplines.
(ii) A masters Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
(iii) A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a
University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ industry excluding the period of Ph. D. research with evidence of published work and a
minimum of 5 (five ) publications as books and/ or research/ policy papers.
(iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses and technology mediated teaching and learning process with evidence
of having guided doctoral applicants and research students.
(v) A satisfactory score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) under the Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), as per the UGC
guidelines.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

(i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree
level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or, an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or SET
conducted by a competent body.
(iii) The candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and
Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET.
Provided further, the award of degree to candidates registered for M. Phil/ Ph. D. programme prior to 11 July, 2009, shall be governed by the
provisions of the then existing Ordinances/ Bylaws/ Regulations of the Institutions awarding the Degree subject to fulfilment of the following
conditions: (1) Ph. D. Degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only; (2) Evaluation of the Ph. D. thesis by at least two external examiners; (3)
Open Ph. D. viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;(4) Candidate has published two research papers from/ based on his/ her Ph. D. work, out
of which at least one must be in a referred journal;( 5) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/ seminars, based on his/ her Ph.
D. work.
(1) to( 5) above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/ Pro Vice-Chancellor/ Dean (Academic Affair)/ Dean( University Instructions).

GENERAL NOTE

(a) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Masters level for the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Differently-abled (Physically and
Visually differently-abled)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC)(Non-creamy layer) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic
record during direct recruitment to faculty positions. The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade) and relaxation of 5% to the categories
mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.
(b) Applicants for the reserved posts of OBC are required to submit a certificate regarding his/ her OBC status and belongingness to NON CREAMY LAYER
from the appropriate competent authority.
(c) A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph. D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Masters Degree prior to 19
September, 1991.
(d) Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent to 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognised University shall also be considered
eligible.
(e) The period taken by the candidates to acquire M. Phil. Degree and the residency period prescribed for pursuing Ph. D. shall not be considered as teaching /
research experience to be claimed for appointment to the faculty positions.
(f) For candidate applying for the posts of Professor/ Associate Professor, filling up of PART-B ( API Format) is mandatory along with the application failing
which application will be rejected.
(g) The University deserves the right of filling or not filling the posts.
(h) The University deserves the right to consider relaxation of age limit of a candidate who may be exceptionally suitable.
(i) Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate concerned.
(j) Only short-listed candidates will be called for Interview. Candidates will have to appear in the Interview at their own cost.
(k) Candidates in service must apply through proper channel.
(l) Conversion formula should be enclosed with the application wherever grading is followed.
(m) Reservation is available for Persons with disabilities under section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights & Full
Participation) Act, 1995. As reservation of PWD candidates is on horizontal basis, the selection of candidates will be placed in the appropriate category (viz.
SC/ST/OBC/PWD/UR).
