2018 Executive Officer Application

Dear Applicant,

On behalf of the 2017 Panhellenic Executive Board, we are very excited by your interest in
becoming more involved with the Panhellenic Council here at John Carroll University!

Together Chi Omega, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, and Kappa Kappa
Gamma are all a part of the National Panhellenic Conference consisting of 26 womens
fraternities around the world. The National Panhellenic Conference officially formed in 1945
to further advance the sorority experience by uniting the common values all sororities share:
sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and philanthropy. As a Greek community we continuously
strive to promote these ideals as well.

It is my hope that this leadership position will give you an opportunity to lead the entire
sorority community here at John Carroll and create an even greater circle of friendship
through the Panhellenic Sisters you make. In this role I have been able to grow as a leader by
working with a variety of people on campus and in Greek Life. This experience has been
invaluable to my time as a sorority woman at JCU, and I hope it can have the same effect on
you. Being apart of Panhellenic will challenge you to learn more about your Greek community,
and help it to continue to grow and thrive on this campus.

I encourage each of you to consider this opportunity, but also consider other ways that you
can support your Panhellenic Sisters. There are countless opportunities to engage in
meaningful conversations, serve in an executive role in your chapter as panhellenic delegate,
donate time or money to philanthropies, or just be there for one another. This community has
grown immensely since I have joined, and I know all of us can continue to make this happen.

Attached in this packet is the election timeline and Panhellenic Executive Board application.
Please read it over, and email all applications to me by Wednesday October 25th at 5 P.M. If
you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any other members of
the Panhellenic Executive Board.

In Panhellenic Love,

Maggie Murphy
Panhellenic President
