8.4 Temperature control adjustment

8.4.1 Viewing the last former adjustment values (if desired)
Prior to performing a new adjustment you can view in this menu the values of the preceding
adjustment.
Procedure:
Enter the controllers adjustment menu by pressing simultaneously the arrow buttons for 5 seconds

There are now the following options:

No reset of the former Reset the former adjustment Show the last adjustment
adjustment values, leave the values and continue with the values
adjustment menu adjustment

Select Disp to show the values of the former adjustment

Confirm with OK
The lower adjustment value is displayed

With a single-point adjustment this is the entered reference value.

With a dual-point adjustment, this is the lower adjustment value

Confirm with OK
The upper adjustment value is displayed

With a single-point adjustment, this value is 100 C plus the difference between the reference value
entered beforehand and the corresponding actual value. Example: actual value = 37.0 C,
reference value = 37.4 C, difference = 0.4 C.

With a dual-point adjustment, this is the upper adjustment value

Confirm with OK
The controller shows Normal Display.

8.4.2 Single-point adjustment

Overview:
The adjustment is carried out in thermal steady-state condition

When the adjustment temperature is equilibrated, the first step in the adjustment menu is resetting the
former adjustment. This is followed by the entry of the adjustment value (reference value).

Procedure:
Let the chamber equilibrate to the adjustment temperature for at least 1 hour (example: 37 C).
If the calibration has been performed immediately beforehand and the chamber is still equilibrated,
no further equilibration is required.
Chamber with adjustable fan speed (BF, FED): Fan speed 100%
Read out and note down the reading of the reference instrument.

The menu shows the adjustment value (flashing). At the beginning, the actual value is displayed.

Enter the value of the reference measuring device (example: 37.4 C)

The entered adjustment value is displayed

Confirm with OK
The controller shows normal display. The single-point adjustment is completed.

8.4.3 Dual-point adjustment

Overview:

Adjustment is performed first for the lower adjustment value and then for the upper one. The
adjustment is carried out in thermal steady-state condition.

When the lower adjustment temperature is equilibrated, the first step in the adjustment menu is
resetting the former adjustment. This is followed by the entry of the lower adjustment value (reference
value).

Then set the upper adjustment temperature and let the chamber equilibrate.

When the upper adjustment temperature is equilibrated, enter the upper adjustment value (reference
value) in the adjustment menu.

Procedure:
Let the chamber equilibrate to the lower adjustment temperature for at least 1 hour
(example: 50 C).
Chamber with adjustable fan speed (BF, FED): Fan speed 100%
Read out and note down the reading of the reference instrument.

The menu shows the lower adjustment value (flashing). At the beginning, the actual value is displayed.

Enter the value of the reference measuring device (example: 54.5 C)

Confirm with OK
The menu shows the upper adjustment value (no function).

Confirm with OK
The entered lower adjustment value is displayed

Confirm with OK
The lower adjustment value is displayed (no valid value entered yet)

Confirm with OK
The controller shows normal display. The adjustment menu is still active.

Let the chamber equilibrate to the upper adjustment temperature for at least 1 hour
(example: 150 C).
Chamber with adjustable fan speed (BF, FED): Fan speed 100%
Read out and note down the reading of the reference instrument.
