HAP System Design Load v4.34 replaces v4.31

UPDATE DESCRIPTION
HAP System Design Load v4.34 includes the following change:
Publishing Equipment Sizing Requirements for use in E-CAT. Carrier is enhancing features for sharing data
between engineering programs like HAP and its Electronic Catalog (E-CAT) software. Part of this work involves
improvements to how sizing data generated by HAP is shared with E-CAT. In v4.34 there is a new "Publish
Equipment Sizing Requirements" option on the Project Menu and on the toolbar. When you've finished your
HVAC system design and are ready to select equipment, use this "Publish" option to make data available in
E-CAT. Once you "Publish" the requirements, the data appears automatically in E-CAT and can be used for
selections. Or, after "Publishing", a customer can use the "Send E-mail" option to automatically archive the
project and e-mail it to a sales engineer for assistance with selections. The "Publish" feature replaces the
traditional method of printing out sizing requirements and then manually entering them into equipment selection
software. To take full advantage of these features, HAP System Design Load v4.34, X Builder Framework
v1.02m, WSHP Builder v4.15 and Packaged RTU Builder v1.09L need to be installed on your computer. For
more information on how to use the new integration features, see the link on the top of the E20-II or E-CAT
downloads page.
In addition, the following problems in v4.31 were corrected in v4.34:
Minimum Zone Airflow Calculations with User-Defined Sizing. If you selected the "User-Defined" sizing
option in air system inputs for a VAV system, minimum zone airflows sometimes differed from results for the
same air system using the "Computer-Generated" sizing option. With "computer generated" sizing, the software
sets the minimum zone airflow for a VAV terminal using the minimum zone airflow specified in inputs or the
zone ventilation airflow requirement, whichever is larger. With "user-defined" sizing, the system ventilation
airflow rate is directly defined by the user and a zone-by-zone ventilation calculation is not performed so zone
ventilation airflow cannot dictate the minimum setting for the VAV terminal. As a result, minimum zone airflow
for VAV terminals could sometimes be smaller using the "user-defined" sizing option than with "computer-
generated" sizing. HAP has been revised so minimum zone airflow calculation for VAV terminals will be the
same for both "user-defined" and "computer-generated" scenarios - considering both the user specified minimum
airflow and the zone ventilation requirement.
Error 91 While Importing gbXML. While importing data from a gbXML file, the program halted due to the
error message "Error 91 Object variable or With block variable not set in GenerateFloorData.". This only
happened in specific situations related to the content of the gbXML file.
Error 13 While Importing gbXML. While importing data from a gbXML file, program halted due to the error
message "Error 13 Type Mismatch in GenerateDoorAssemblyData.". This only happened in specification
situations related to the content of the gbXML file.
Further details on program additions and problem corrections are provided in section 1.2 (Whats New in HAP?) in
the programs on-line help system.
