Words from Ironmen

Marvin Minger #2 on Sept.
9th said, My last game was a good
game because I played to my abil-
ity. He also said that to improve
his game he would have to put in
extra work on the field before prac-
tice and prepare for college football.

David Lee #1 on Sept. 9th said

his last game was good because he
had the most rushing yards on
the team. To improve on his game
David Lee said, I will practice by
myself more. He does not have
any intentions on playing college football. Javion Binns #12 on Sept 14th said
that the team was currently preparing for the
NDCL football away game. He also said to
win they would have to eliminate the mental
mistakes. He said that they could beat NDCL
if they played together for the man next to
you instead of playing for yourself, play like a team. He em-
phasized, Big time players make big time plays in big time
moments. He said he will live and die by that motto in this
Fridays game.

Dyshawn Jackson It takes talent,

sportsmanship, leadership, humbleness and
dedication to the game to be a CCC varsity
basketball player. It is a great feeling playing
basketball with my twin brother Delshawn
Jackson. I know what he is going to do before
he even does it. When I make it to the NBA I would like to
play for the Houston Rockets.
Jerry Coleman Cross Coun-
try is long distance running. Being
captain of the cross country team is
a good feeling. I make sure I push
everyone that is on the team and
everyone looks up to me. Advice I
will give to someone who wants to be a part of
the team is never stop!

Shamyrah Wingfield My
new cheer coach is not very strict
and is very chill. One perk to be-
ing a CCC cheerleader is being
looked up to as a leader. My advice
to any girl who wants to become a
CCC cheerleader is to always stay positive. Dartanyan Fitch I am out for the season because
I tore my ACL. It feels horrible to be out for the season
but it makes me want to come back even harder. To help
myself get better I am going to rehab and come back bet-
ter for my senior year. A qualification to become a CCC
varsity player is to have unconditional love for the game.

Delshawn Jackson It feels good to be the captain

of the basketball team because I have to get everyone
ready for the season so we can have a good impact on the
season. I deserved to be the captain because i have been
on varsity since freshman year. Having my girlfriend Tai
Evans cheering me on is the best support I can have and
I love her for that.

What a wonderful night! There was
a WIN,; there were tears, loud fans, and
unflagging enenergetic cheers from the
JV team.
The volleyball team honored two
seniors, Yesenia Gil and Heaven Sand-
ers, on Tuesday, October 10. After the
JV team presented carnations to seniors
on the visiting team, JFK Warren, they
gave flowers and gifts to the CCC seniors.
In addition, two players gave moving
tributes to their senior friends and team-
mates.
The Link Crew organized Dig It for
Doritos and created a unified student
section to cheer loudly for the team.
