There are lots of new names and faces in Best
of Gay D.C. this year.
For every perennial winner like the Ladies of
Town, Freddies Beach Bar or Miss Pixies, there
are newer faces like Roman Noodle (Best Drag
King), Tezrah (Best DJ) and Phoenix King (Best
Transgender Performer).
Oh, and there was a Marisa Tomei-esque
moment or two this year. Just when you thought
a D.C. gay institution was about to lap up its 10th
or 11th straight win in a few of these categories
