The philosophy of choosing the type for utility stations (TYPE-A / TYPE B/ TYPE C) is as follows:
All the equipment's platform US where there is requirement of steam out connection will be --------> Type -B
All other US stations located in the equipment's other than the top Platform will be --------> Type -A (seen note1)
All the Top platforms of the equipment's / PRV Platforms / All the platforms above the TOP deck---------> Type -C
Utility connections
Note 1
Utility stations are not requiered on intermediate platform of equipment where multi-ladder are used
Utility stations are requiered on equipment platform with manhole or top access, type-A to be implemented or type-B in case of specific requirement on this
platform regarding steam

All valves tagged as VP 101 and VP 105 shall be considered as a fire case isolation valve
As noted on PEFS "VALVE TO BE LOCATED AT THE EDGE OF THE FIRE ZONE." these valves to be located at the edge of the fire case area at less than 3 meters from the edge of module as shown on the fire zone limit here below .
These valves shall not be located inside the jet fire impingement - 10 minutes ( extract from fire protection report issued by Safety)
The line routing after UZV shall not go back inside the fire zone but shall be located at less than 3 meters from module
Here below typical representation of VP101 and VP105 as identified on PEFS
Rev 1 If valve is located on main deck to be placed at 3m distance approximately from main deck penetration.
In order to follow the consortium agreement between SHI and TSC regarding the scope of work of small bore piping.
Please find here attached the limit of modeling of small bore pipes
All lines number reflected in the lines lists identified with a main diameter bellow DN 5O is under SHI scope of work.
This is include design,routing,3d modelling,supports,isometrics production, construction,inspection,testing,comissioning.
If this line is connected to a line above DN 50 the branch fittings is under TP scope of work
All lines number reflected in lines lists identified with main diameter above or equal to DN 50 is under TP scope including the small bore portion
under this line number
The aim of this work instruction is to cover COMPANY requirement regarding location and orientation of butterfly valve at Relief Valve inlet .
You will recover in the drawings below several cases which have to be considered in our design.
The main drivers are :
Process for fouling service and non fouling service.
Process service for two phase flow
The elbow orientation and location before and after the butterfly valve
The impacts on design for different cases are reflected in the following drawings.
Impact are:
lines routing
butterfly stem orientation
Elbows location and orientation
Upstream and downstream straight line d

Eccentric reducers are 99% of the time, with seam on the flat portion
In case both reducers are not seamless , add a spool piece between reducers.
Seamless indication can be be found in piping classes details
New requirement has been provide by safety thru MOM 2000-110-003-MM-11031 and vent report 60869M-GF00G00000-RT-6200-62003 .
On this Basis vent orientation to be oriented sea side for hydrocarbon, regarding utilities vent toward unit is acceptable
By default Report 60869M-GF00G00000-RT-6200-62003 consider 7.6 m given as a minimum by piping and precise if hydrocarbon contain
It has been agreed that horizontal vent discharge to sea side is acceptable,
whatever the type of release is (e.g hydrocarbon, steam, nitrogen), as long as the
outlet piping does not exceed the edge of the FLNG
Horizontal vent release facing an other platform/module is acceptable:
within utility modules for all type of release except hydrocarbon. High
temperatures will be assessed within the hazardous contours.
within other modules as long as product release is not hydrocarbon. High
temperatures will be assessed within the hazardous contours.
2-Safe area
Following review of preliminary representation of safe area for horizontal release,
it has been agreed as shown in attachment 1 that
As hazardous contour have to be outside the area affecting personnel based on
normal man height of 2.1 meters and outlet discharge piping shall release at least
3 m above the tallest plant structure, hazardous contour has no drop more than 0.9m
IF 60869M-GF00G00000-RT-6200-62003 call for more 7,6 meters refer pages 12 TO 35 last column
Piping designer have to model a sphere with a radius equal to final safe area in last column .
This sphere to be cut back at 3 meter to reflet the main requirement given above
Bottom portion as per the table to be also cutback by 6 metter.
Cutted sphere shall not interfer with PLTF space, 2.1 Meter shall be maintain or 3M until the davit beam as shown above

Towing, Sea fastening and associated piping supports or portion of piping support
Here is the explanation of who does what when how in which purpose in piping team (support/stress/
field engineering) for towing, sea fastening and associated piping support or portion of piping support.
1.Support
a) Lines calculated
Support team follow stress calculation notes requierements for towing, piping support or portion
of piping support, see example of calculation note below.

Towing, Sea fastening and associated piping supports or portion of piping support
If lines are not calculated (so no calculation note) it is SHI scope, refer to TSC consortium agreement
8.2 for details in case of doubt.
2.MDS Function
Support designer use MDS function to indicate on isometrics specific request for:
Towing:
Use attribute "MDS-towing-note"
Towing, Sea fastening and associated piping supports or portion of piping support
Spring box data sheet indicate if spring box is "Blocked during Tow" or "Unblocked during Tow"
By defaut it is considered as blocked durung Tow (unless specific exeption duly indicated
in stress calculation note).
Support team need to produce a specific offshore piping support deliverable for the GFLNG project.
A single document made of two part, inside one part for KLOC / one part for COC.
This document will be useful for the yard, field engineering and commissioning team.
This document will be issued by POC based on input from COC and KLOC. This document will
consist of
- data sheet of spring boxes unlocked during tow with their associated tags and X/Y/Z coordinates
with corresponding Calculation Note reference.
- X/Y/Z coordinates of piping support or portion of piping support to be dismantled at final location
with corresponding Calculation Note reference.
- recap list

PIPING ENGINEERING
Definition :
Main Line or Header : Relief valve exhaust pipe.
Drain line or Branch : Connection to OSD DN50.
PDMS Modelling :
In order to model this particular tapping in PDMS there is 2 different methods, depending of the
header diameter and piping class branch table.
The first step for the designer is to check with the piping class and with the document
"Topside Branch Tables" Ref.2000-110-G000-GE00-G00000-RA-7737-00023 whether
Pi to

di t
If yes consequently designer can use "branch to header" Tee in PDMS to connect the drain line to the header.
If no, designer has to work with several "atta" and copy/past tapping position for branch head definition,
and also copy/past manually line number reference to edit several "stext" "atta" on header and drain line.

PIPING ENGINEERING
Create a "tee" (branch to header) on the main line at the location of the planed drip hole.
Kindly check weld proximity.
Create at the same location (tee) an generic "atta" on the main header.
Then edit ATTA's ATTY attribute to 'CCNN' and ATTA's STEXT with the following sentence :
'DO NOT CUT 50NB HOLE IN THE HEADER PIPE BUT ONLY "DRIP HOLE" 13mm'
Finally connect the drain line to the header's "TEE" as you proceed usually.

PIPING ENGINEERING
Second case : pipe to pipe connection not allowed as per branch table wrt header NB :
Create a generic "atta" on the main line at the location of the planed drip hole.
Kindly check weld proximity.
Then designer has to copy the coordinates of this "atta" which will be used to define the location of the
"head" for the drain line. This can be done by selecting the "atta" (current element) and typing "Q pos" in
PDMS' command line window.
Designer has to create now the drain pipe and branch, selecting "Explicit" method for the head definition
and past the coordinate of the "atta" previously copied.
In addition, designer need to select '50' for the bore, 'D' for the direction and 'Butt Weld' for connection in
the branch head explicit definition box.
In order to get a correct representation on isometrics, designer need copy the branch name of the drain :
In the example above '50-OSD-xxx-yyyyy/B1' and add it when editing the first 'atta' on the header.

'DO NOT CUT 50NB HOLE IN THE HEADER PIPE BUT ONLY "DRIP HOLE" 13mm'
'50-OSD-xxx-yyyyy/B1'
Finally, in the same optic to get a correct representation on drain isometric designer need to create
one last "ATTA" at the head location of the drain line.
Editing drain's ATTA ATTY attribute to 'CCNN' and ATTA's STEXT with the following sentences :
'DO NOT CUT 50NB HOLE IN THE HEADER PIPE BUT ONLY "DRIP HOLE" 13mm'
'branch name of the header'
