Dear Sir/Madam,

Hope you find this in best of your health.

I am extremely delighted at the moment writing this purpose of my study at KAUST. I intend to
pursue P.hd in Advanced Chemical Engineering at KAUST of the following reasons:-
1.) I have got a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering & currently enrolled in M.Sc in Adv. Chemical
Engineering. Being very ambitious about my academic education ideally the next thing
inevitably would be a P.hd in Adv. Chemical engineering.
2.) There isnt anything better than KAUST in this region in my opinion when it comes to PhD
in Adv. Chemical Engineering besides PI Institute, Abu Dhabi. I really think both have their
own distinguished positions.
3.) Career vise as well my short experience has been extremely diverse. From training in 2
refineries to training in a catalyst company, to working for a mixed engineering company
having projects in Oil & gas and urban planning & survey to being seconded to British
Petroleum, Iraq & finally currently working as Project Process Engineer for Berlin state
owned Engineering firm p2mberlin here in Bahrain as consultant to Ministry of Works,
Sanitary Engineering Affairs.
4.) My interest in the field of research. I have a paper published where during my
undergraduate course in B.Sc Chemical Engineering we did the Optimization of UF
membrane using Response surface methodology. Currently Im working on my M.Sc in
Adv. Chemical Engineerings thesis titled Mesoporous catalyst preparation, simulation &
optimization of Waste plastic pyrolysis to fuel process which is sort of a green,
environmental friendly & sustainable project in the field of catalyst, porous materials &
pyrolysis.
5.) I really think the country I reside in and have been born and brought up in needs people
with Phd in chemical engineering with research background & interests. I really look
forward to serve this region, provide industrial advice, advance their processes such that
it makes a difference which would generate income to the nation & motivate for more of
education.
Having said about my purpose, I would also like to speak a bit about myself. I am an Indian
national born and brought up in Bahrain. Recently got married to my longtime partner &
reside in Bahrain along with my parents. I enjoy my spare time either reading current affair
research based articles or reading books. I enjoy spending my time with my friends and family
as well.
With tons of aspirations, ambitions, dreams in my eyes & heart. I conclude or lets per say
begin my journey with this application/purpose letter for Phd in Chemical Engineering.
