In South Africa, multi-religious education is conducted to resist the discrimination about religions like it used to
be in South Africa. However, the discrimination about religions are still reported. To indicate why this education
doesnt work, the author interviewed some teachers and gathered information about this subject. The author
pointed out some problems; the lack of time to teach enough, the lack of textbook, but the biggest problem the
author think is the lack of education for teachers about religions. Because of that problem, they sometimes teach
religions in the point of views biased by the religion they believe in (most is the Catholicism).

Assessment and reflection (Guidelines iii & iv)

Now write a few sentences evaluating the source and assessing its usefulness for your research goals

Actually I am not quite satisfactory about the article because I think we need some data to check if the authors
statement is true. For me, the article contains authors subjective views or personal opinions. However, it is very
interesting to learn about the state of the religious education in South Africa, which adapt multi-religious
education, not non-religious education like France.
