New bond-funded library was designed with 18-
foot open wood-beamed ceilings and a glass wall, providing a panoramic view and allowing for abundant natural lighting.
The library also includes a classroom, computer lab with SMART Board (interactive whiteboard), media room, and seating
area for reading periodicals. The buildings exterior was designed to integrate with the existing campus structures. $3.98M

City of Monterey with ideas for a revitalized downtown to increase tourism, commerce and property ownership. The team
conducted thousands of hours of community outreach and research over two years to redesign downtown Montereys plazas

Osio Adobe; Monterey, CA

Built in 1849, the Osio Rodriguez Adobe has undergone
a number of changes including one which turned the buildings first floor into a partial basement. Not constructed for that pur-
pose, the adobe walls experienced water intrusion that threatened to degrade the entire structure. Working with the City and a
historic preservationist, WRD created construction documents to implement state-of-the-art moisture mitigation measures. $58,400

along with exterior lighting upgrades to the entire library to fulfill the goals of the City of Montereys Neighborhood Improvement
Programs. $516,941 WRD has also designed a waterproofing solution for the second floor outdoor terrace, and provided upgrades
to the librarys group study room and fire alarm system.
