OUTLINE SPECIFICATIONS

DIVISION 1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

General. It is declared and acknowledged intention and meaning to provide and secure the
Interior Fit-Out of the Philippine Department of Tourism Showroom located at
Philippine Center 565, 5th Avenue, New York City, NY 10036, USA, complete and
ready for use. The showroom shall have refurbishing works for architectural, electrical,
electronics and communications provisions.

1.1 Permit Requirements

Shall be the Contractors responsibility to secure all
permits of every description required to initiate and
complete work under this contract, except permits
obtained by the Owner. The Contractor shall be
responsible of complying with all permits and approval
requirements including Owner obtained.

1.2 Temporary Facilities

Shall be temporary facilities/utilities inclusive of power
supply, water supply board-ups, site safety signage,
fire protection/extinguishers, telecommunication and
other necessary items complete

DIVISION 2 EXISTING CONDITIONS

2.1 Removal and Disposal of Construction Materials

Removal and disposal of existing interior debilitated
materials, including cleaning of minor debris and
hauling of construction related garbage out of work
areas should be included. General work items included:

a. Removal and disposal of existing worn-out

acoustical ceiling boards.
b. Removal and disposal of existing column glass and
wood veneer and dado rail.
c. Removal and disposal of existing lighting fixtures,
wiring and switches.
d. Removal and disposal of existing furniture and
fixture (on particular areas only) except for the
existing guards counter to be reused in the
design.

DIVISION 3 CONCRETE (Not Applicable)

DIVISION 4 MASONRY

4.1 Existing Adobe Stone Veneer Wall

To retain existing Adobe stone veneer wall; shall be
cleaned from dust, dirt and loose particle using a non-
toxic, concentrated formula cleaner that is designed to
remove dirt and grime from the hard surfaces of while
preserving its natural finish.

4.2 Stone Finishes

4.2.1 Reception and Information Countertop Slab Finish

Shall be 12mm thick non-porous Solid Surface made of
high performance acrylic resin, abrasion, chemical, fire,
bacteria and fungi resistant. Color and design as per
Architects approved sample. (See Division 6 for
complete requirements of Information Counter)

DIVISION 5 METALS

5.1 Metals

5.1.1 Video Wall Steel Tubular Framing

Shall be 3mm thick x 50mm x 100mm, 3mm thick x
50mm x 200mm steel tubular framing (verify submitted
shop drawings from the sub-contractor of Video Wall)
complete with accessories and supports for video wall
equipment, submit shop drawings and sample material
for Architects approval. Verify manufacturers
recommended framing sizes for final design and
approval.

5.1.2 Photo Wall (Sintra Board Signage) Back Wall Framing

Shall be 0.60mm thick gauge 24 x 35mm x 76mm
galvanized light steel top and bottom tracks and
0.60mm gauge 24 x 35mm x 76mm vertical and
horizontal studs spaced at 600mm bothways, complete
with screws, accessories and 0.40mm GA. 26 x 25mm x
25mm corner bead with BPS (Bureau of Product
Standards) certification. Submit sample for Architects
approval.

5.1.3 Ceiling Framing (for Ceiling replacement)

Shall be 0.60mm thick GA. 24 x 19mm x 50mm
galvanized light steel furring channel spaced at 600mm
(max.) on both ways with 0.80mm thick GA. 22 x
12mm x 38mm carrying channel spaced at 1200mm
(max.) on both ways and 0.40mm GA.26 x 25mm x
25mm metal wall angle and metal angle, attached to
slab/roof framing by a suspension clip and 6mm
diameter hanger rod joiner spaced at 1200mm (max.)
on both ways. Complete with screws, accessories and
0.40mm GA. 26 x 25mm x 25mm corner bid Ceiling
Framing System. Verify drawings for design and details.
Submit sample for Architects approval.

5.2 Decorative Metal

5.2.1 Stainless Steel Baseboard Cover for Reception Information Counter

Shall be 1.2mm thick, gauge 18 stainless steel plate in
hairline finish, see drawings and layout for location,
submit sample for Architects approval. (See Division 6
for complete requirements of Reception and
Information Counter)

DIVISION 6 WOOD AND PLASTICS AND COMPOSITES

6.1 Architectural Wood work

6.1.1 Information Counter

Note: See Architectural drawings for layout and detail; submit shop
drawings for Architects approval. Dimension, fabrication and
installation of information counter shall be based on the actual
measurements and conditions of the site. For hardware and
accessories see Division 8.3 Builders Hardware.

6.1.1.1 Counter Wall Design (front wall)

Shall be 50mm x 50m treated kiln dried (TKD) flexible
solid hardwood in varnish/stain finish with 5mm thick
ribbon grain plyboard (Class A) backing on solid wood
framing. Submit sample varnish finish and sample
swatches for Architects approval.

6.1.1.2 Countertop and Counter Desk

Shall be 12mm thick non-porous Solid Surface made of
high performance acrylic resin, abrasion, chemical, fire,
bacteria and fungi resistant. Color and design as per
Architects approved sample.

6.1.1.3 Counter Sidings and Back Walls

Shall be 25mm thick ribbon grained plyboard Class A in
stain/varnish finish. Submit stain/varnish color sample
for Architects approval.

6.1.1.4 Counter Cabinet Shelves, Carcass and Drawers

Shall be 18mm thick double-faced, high compact
machine pressed, thermo-fused, heat and scratch
resistant melamine laminated Medium Density
Fiberboard (MDF) with pvc edge bond. Submit color
swatches and sample with edge bond for Architects
approval.

6.1.1.5 Counter Framing System and Backboards and Supports

Shall be 25mm x 50mm, 50mm x 50mm and 50mm x
100mm TKD treated and Kiln Dried (KD) Tanguile wood
framing, backing shall be 5mm thick ribbon grained
plyboard. Color and finish as per Architects approved
sample. Provide 6mm x 38mm x 38mm angle bar
support for ledge design framing.

6.1.1.6 Nails, Common and Finishing

Shall conform to the best commercial standard. Size
and type, best suited for the purpose indicated.

DIVISION 7 THERMAL AND MOISTURE PROTECTION

7.1 Structural Sealant

Shall be Dow Corning 795 and DC 995 Silicone building
sealant or approved equal, which is a one-part, high

performance silicone glazing and waterproofing sealant

or approved equivalent. Application is for exterior glass
components and structural glazing system. Structural
Sealant shall conform to ASTM 920 Type S, Grade NS,
and Class 50.

DIVISION 8 OPENINGS

8.1 Doors and Fixed Panels

8.1.1 Sliding Glass Doors with Fixed Panels (See Schedule of Doors for
Design Details)

Note: Dimension, fabrication and installation of Sliding Glass Doors

with Fixed Panel shall be based on the actual measurements
and conditions of the site. Verify Manufacturers standard
details. Submit shop drawings and sample for Architects
approval.

Shall be 12mm thick tempered clear glass frameless

doors and fixed glass panels with white frosted
sticker film applied on both sides on a top and hidden
bottom u-channel support framing complete with
sliding door tracks, patch fittings with locks and 25mm
diameters x 1250mm height solid stainless steel in
hairline finish vertical handle. Submit shop drawings
and glass sample for Architects approval. Follow
manufacturers standard installation procedures.

8.2 Interior Glass Wall Partitions (See Schedule of Glass Wall Partitions for
Design Details)

Note: Dimension, fabrication and installation of Glass Wall Partition

shall be based on the actual measurements and conditions of
the site. Verify Manufacturers standard details. Submit shop
drawings and sample for Architects approval.

Shall be 12mm thick tempered clear fixed glass wall

panels with white frosted sticker film applied on both
sides on a top and hidden bottom u-channel support
framing complete with necessary accessories; submit
glass sample and aluminum section sample for
Architects approval. Follow manufacturers standard
installation procedure. Verify on drawings the Schedule
of Glass Wall Partition for design details.

8.3 Hardware

8.3.1 Vertical Handle (for Glass Doors)

25mm diameters x 1250mm length, solid stainless
steel, back to back, vertical handle complying with
ISO9001 (Architectural Hardware) in satin chrome or
hairline finish. Submit sample finish for Architects
approval.

8.3.2 Sliding Glass Door Track, Fittings, Accessories and Lock

A. Solid Track Rail and Fittings
Shall be 25mm diameters prefabricated solid track rail
in hairline finish for 12mm thick tempered glass,
complete with single point fixing, countersunk and
clamping disc. Submit product catalog, shop drawings
and sample finish for Architects approval.

B. Sliding Door Track Accessories

Shall be provided with heavy duty stainless steel in
hairline finish roller for 12mm thick tempered glass with
door stop, anti-jump device, door steady and floor
guide. Submit product catalog, shop drawings and
sample finish for Architects approval.

C. Sliding Door Lock

Shall be provided with a heavy duty stainless steel in
hairline finish sliding door lock complete with key hole.
Submit sample finish for Architects approval.

8.3.3 Glass Shelf Support

Shall be 22mm x 29mm x 14.5mm thick shelf support
made from zinc alloy in stainless steel finish complete 2
inches screw, gasket and plastic wall anchor for 8mm
thick glass. Submit sample for Architects approval.

8.3.4 Reception/Information Counter Cabinet and Drawer Hardware

A. Drawer/Rack Slides.
Shall be 34 kgs. (75 lbs) minimum capacity for medium
to heavy duty usage stainless steel, full extension ball-
bearing drawer slides with side-mounted rails. Length
shall be as required in the Drawings.

B. Locks:
Inlay or rim style deadbolt or cam lock system shall be
provided for drawers and cabinet doors as indicated on
drawings, in satin chrome or satin nickel finish. Confirm
keying required if master keyed, keyed alike in groups
or keyed differently.

8.4 Glass and Glazing

8.4.1 Tempered Glass Wall Panels and Sliding Door (Interior Partitions)
Shall be 12mm thick tempered clear glass on a top and
hidden bottom u-channel aluminum framing.

8.4.2 Tempered Glass Shelves for Promotional Brochures

Shall be 8mm thick tempered clear glass shelves
complete with vertical and horizontal chrome plated
glass supports, submit glass sample for Architects
approval. Provide 50mm x 200mm solid wood cover
with mirror facing on top and bottom framing. Follow

8.4.3 Glazing Sealant

Shall be one component, neutral cure, high tensile-
strength elastomeric silicone sealant and adhesive for
structural bonding glass, metal and building
components

8.4.4 Norton Tape

Shall be shall be 6mm thick x 13mm x 50 LF Norton
Thermal Bond high density structural glazing space
tape double sided adhesive.

8.4.5 Frosted Sticker Film Strips (For Interior Glass Walls and Doors)
Shall be a translucent 2 mil vinyl film with pressure-
sensitive adhesive and synthetic liner that resist water,
durable and sand blast appearance in white frosted
sticker film finish; see drawings for layout and details

8.4.6 Non-Reflective Glass Coating for Existing Fixed Glass Panels

Shall be 0.1mm thick, high quality anti-reflective film
applied on both sides that eliminates reflection down to
less than 10%. Submit product catalog and sample for
Architects approval.

8.4 Mirror @ Existing Column

Shall be 12mm thick frameless, silver-coated float glass
mirror, glued to 18mm thick marine plywood backing
using tile adhesive or mirror mastic with sponge tape
on one side, facing wall, attached to existing column.

Note: All samples of doors and fixed panels materials and hardware shall be
submitted for Architects approval prior to production and installation.

DIVISION 9 FINISHES

9.1 Ceiling Finishes

9.1.1 Replacement of Worn-out Acoustical Ceiling Board

Shall be 12mm-13mm thick recessed edge, sag
resistant plasterboard, coated with high quality,
splatter resistant, zero VOC, 100% acrylic paint that
provides a durable and washable film in matte finish.
Submit sample for Architects approval.

Framing system shall be 0.60mm thick GA. 24 x 19mm

x 50mm galvanized light steel furring channel spaced at
600mm (max.) on both ways with 0.80mm thick GA. 22
x 12mm x 38mm carrying channel spaced at 1200mm
(max.) on both ways and 0.40mm GA.26 x 25mm x

Shall be sanding and re-polishing of existing wood
parquet flooring coated with quick dry, low VOC, low
odor, alkyd/acrylic blend, water based wood stain in
polished finish with top coat of water based clear
finishes

9.3 Wall Finishes

9.3.1 Plyboard for Build-up Video Wall

Shall be 12mm thick ribbon grained plyboard Class A,
coated with high quality, splatter resistant, zero VOC,
100% acrylic paint that provides a durable and
washable film in semi-gloss finish; submit color
swatches and mock-up paint sample for Architects
approval.

Framing shall be 3mm thick x 50mm x 100mm, 3mm

tick x 50mm x 200mm steel tubular framing (verify
submitted shop drawings) complete with accessories
and supports for video wall equipment, submit shop
drawings and sample material for Architects approval.
Verify manufacturers recommended framing sizes for
final design and approval.

9.3.2 Photo Wall (Sintra Board Signage) Back Wall

Shall be matte laminated sticker photo wall on 6mm
thick sintra board glued to 12mm thick marine plywood
backing; Verify location, layout and sizes with DOT
requirements and as shown in Drawings. (Pictorials
shall be approved by DOT for final printout) Submit
sample layout for Architects approval.

Framing shall be 0.60mm thick gauge 24 x 35mm x

76mm galvanized light steel top and bottom tracks and
0.60mm gauge 24 x 35mm x 76mm vertical and
horizontal studs spaced at 600mm bothways, complete
with screws, accessories and 0.40mm GA. 26 x 25mm x
25mm corner bead with BPS (Bureau of Product
Standards) certification.

9.3.3 Glass Wall Partition

9.4 Repainting and Re-varnishing Works

9.4.1 Re-painting of Interior Upper Wall Signage of Philippine Places and

World Map Cut-out and Video Wall Cover, and Existing Elevated
Platform and existing Ceiling
Shall be coated with high quality, splatter resistant,
zero VOC, 100% acrylic paint that provides a durable
and washable film in semi-gloss (for walls) and
matte (for ceiling) finish; Follow manufacturers
standard application procedures, submit color swatch
and mock-up paint sample for Architects approval.
Final paint finish shall be on a plant-mixed procedure
(by the manufacturer) before application.

9.4.2 Re-polishing of Existing Wood Parquet

Shall be quick dry, low VOC, low odor, alkyd/acrylic
blend, water based wood stain in polished finish with
top coat of water based clear finishes.

Painting schedule shall be:

a. Coating: Semi-Transparent Weatherproofing All-
In-One Wood Stain and Sealer.
b. Final Coating Fast Dry Clear Varnish.

26.1.2 Struts and Channel Support

Shall be supplied complete with machine bolts, nuts,
Pipe hangers and angle brackets

26.1.3 PVC Conduits

Shall be Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Conduits, Schedule
40, complete with fittings and accessories, provide PVC
for underground site development.

26.1.4 RSC Conduits

Shall be 15mm, 20mm diameters Rigid Steel Conduit
for exposed electrical wiring requirements

26.1.5 Wires and Cables

Shall be UL-listed, minimum of 3.5 sq.mm THHN/THWN
dual-rated AWG, 600 V, 90 degrees temperature rating,
made of 100% premium grade Virgin Copper with lead-
free PVC insulation. Comply with the requirement
quality standard.

26.1.6 Octagonal, Square, Junction and Utility Boxes

Shall be gauge 16, deep type, die-formed Galvanized
Iron sheet housing, coated with primer paint on
exterior surfaces.

26.1.7 Locknuts and Bushing

Shall be of same brand as conduit being used

26.2 Convenience Outlets/Telephone Outlets/Data/Auxiliary Outlets

Convenience Outlets/Telephone Outlets/Data Outlets
Shall be 16A rated, universal grounding type, and wide
series with metallic black or metallic gray finish plate
cover conforming to IEC/PNS standards; Mounting
heights shall be 300mm from the center of device to
floor finished level for wall outlets. Install duplex
convenience outlets in horizontal position, adjacent to
voice/data ports.

Floor mounted convenience outlets shall be waterproof,

pop-up type, flush mounted, duplex grounding type.

Layouts.

26.3 Switches Shall be wide series with metallic black or metallic gray
finish plate cover conforming to IEC/PNS standards for
1 gang, 2 gang and 3 gang switches.

Mounting height shall be 1375mm from center of

device to floor finish level.

26.4 Lighting Fixtures

Note: All lamps and lighting fixtures shall be CE, RoHs and U.L. approved
brand. Submit certifications for Architects approval.

26.4.1 Recessed Mounted Circular Downlight (LED Type complete with

casing) for high ceiling
Shall be 1x25 watts LED, warm white in 150mm
diameters cut out, recessed mounted LED downlight
(with cover) made from aluminum and synthetic
material in flat ring white color finish. Submit brochures
and sample for architects approval.

26.4.2 Wall Washer for Cut-out Wall Decoration Philippine Places (LED
Type)
Shall be 6 watts LED, warm white, dimmable wall
washer with 30x60 lens complete with leader cable,
jumper cable and mounting tract. Submit brochures
and sample for Architects approval.

26.4.3 LED Bulb for Existing Lighting Fixture Bulb Replacement

Shall be 10 watts (minimum only, verify required
lumens for proper lighting) LED bulb, cool
daylight/warm white. Submit brochures and sample for
Architects approval.

Note: Verify lighting fixture compatibility with LED

Bulbs. Clean all lighting fixtures, Capiz Chandelier
before installation of new LED bulbs.

DIVISION 27 COMMUNICATIONS

27.1 Audio-Video Systems

27.1.1 LED Video Wall 1 & 2 located along the Existing Fixed Glass Wall
Panels (store front)
Shall be 1920mm x 3072mm (verify drawings) display
area, with module dimension of 192mm x 192mm and
32x32 pixel module resolution Multi-Colored LED
display system that provides sharp image output, fluent
video display and high refresh rate, has better contrast
ratio and better color blending to deliver brighter and
more pleasant visual experience. Display resolution
shall be 320x512 pixels with 6+m best viewing
distance. Submit product catalog and shop drawings for
casing and framing for Architects approval. See

DIVISION 28 ELECTRONIC SAFETY AND SECURITY

28.1 Video Surveillance

28.1.1 CCTV Conduits and Pipes

Wiring connections shall be provided with roughing-ins.
PVC Conduits shall be Schedule 40, complete with
fittings and accessories for site conduits. Use
Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) for building conduits.
Complete with all necessary accessories and local
materials needed for the system connections.

28.1.2 CCTV Cables and Wires

Shall be CAT-6 cable for equipment and 1.5-mm2 (16
AWG) twin-twisted wire with a common sheath for
speakers. Comply with the requirement quality
standard.
