Dear Sir,

On behalf of the residents of Sta. Maria Subdivision, I would like to complain

about the irregular garbage collection in our neighborhood.

Usually, garbage collection is scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays

every week. However, for the past three days, the garbage truck has not even passed our
housing area.

As a result, there is a mountain of rubbish in front of our houses. The garbage is

swarming with flies and has become the breeding place for maggots. In addition, stray
dogs would come and mess with the rubbish, tearing the garbage bags into pieces and
spreading the refuse all over the place.

Worst of all, the garbage is now is now emitting a foul smell and is giving our
neighborhood a bad image.

I really hope that the San Mateo Municipal Council will give serious attention to
this problem and will take immediate action.

Dear Maam,

On behalf of my church mates, I would like to invite you to participate in our

fundraising activities to continue help the renovation of our church.

San Jose de Ampid Parish is a rapidly growing church in our community. Aside
from offering services every Sundays and Wednesdays, we also conduct community
outreach programs for young people. However, you may or may not aware that parish is
currently being renovated.Our goal is to raise funds over the next six months so that the
work can be finished during the summer months when attendance is down and the
repairs will cause the least amount of inconvenience.

In addition to soliciting cash donations, we have planned a number of fundraising

events to help us reach our financial goals. You can find out more about these activities
in our church bulletin board. Since not all of us can donate cash, donating goods and
volunteer hours is needed for these events.
