2, The eligibility conditions for the above mentioned posts are as under:-

(l) Motor Transport Assistant, Grade 'A,

(a) Personnel ofthe Central Government or Defence Services personnel:_,
(i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department ;and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualification and experience :_
(i) 1Oth pass or equivalent from a recognized Board; and
(ii) possession of a valid driving license for Heavy and Light Motor vehicles including
Motor Cycles; and
(iii) knowledge of motor mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor-
defects in vehicle)
Desirable.
Experience of driving a motor car for at least 3 years,

Note:- Candidates shall be required to qualify practical driving test and jnterview as
prescribed by the Selection Board.

(ll) Motor Transport Assistant, Grade ,B'

(a) Personnel of the Central Government or Defence Services personnel:_.
(i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department ;or
(ii) with eight years of regular service in Motor Transport Trade in Level-2 or Level-3 of
the pay matrix in the parent cadre or departmentt ano
(b) possession of a valid driving license for Heavy and Light lVotor vehicles including
Motor Cycles; and
(c) at least six years experience in driving/maintenance/repair of l\Iotor Vehicles.
Desirable.
Diploma in automobile engineering.

0ll) Motor Transport Assistant, Grade ,C,

(a) Personnel of the Central Government or Defence Services personnel:-,
(i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department
;or
(ii) with five years of regular service in Motor Transport Trade in Level-4 of the pay
matrix
in the parent cadre or department; and
(b) possession of a valid driving license for Heavy and Light Motor vehicles including
Motor Cycles; and
(c) at least six years experience in driving/maintenance/repair of Motor Vehjcles,-

Note'1: The departmental candidates in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion
shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, the deputationists shall
not be eligible for consideration for appointment on promotion.

Note-2: The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held
immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of the
Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.

Note'3: The rnaximum,age limit for appointment on deputation shall be not exceeding fifty-six years
as on the closing date of receipt of the application.

The Armed Force personnel due to retire or who are to be transfened to reserve within a period of one
year and having the requisite experience and qualifications prescribed shall also be considered. Such
