Risk the product of Probability and Severity, the classification of probability and severity is
shown in the table below:

High Cost (32) and Protest (21) are the two highest risk identified in this project. To solve
the High Cost problem, we should make sure that all the WSUD features are well thought
out in term of cost effectiveness and low maintenance rate, although the initial cost can still
be high, the low maintenance cost which will occur throughout the lifespan of this project
will still benefit to the developer. With lower maintenance cost, it will generate a higher
revenue for developer which favour their main objective.
More attention will be given to local community as they will be one of the main sensitive
stakeholder in this case, to minimise the chances of protest, local community needs and
satisfactory must be well discussed. There is a need to explain to local community that this
development will surge the local community with job opportunities and improve their
standard of living.
Leakage to creek (8) and pollution to creek (14) are the two lowest risk identified in this
project. Leakage to creeks almost impossible to happen due to the fact we will be hiring
reliable and responsible party for this task, and pipe laying is a specialist job, meaning this
job have been around for long time and numerous of safety feature have been developed for
this task. In any case the pipe fails, the surrounding geomembrane will be able to contain the
wastewater.
The pollution to creek is the second lowest risk, this is because that the creek will be
converted into gardens and parks whereby the environmental health will not be affected, to
further more reduce the chances of harming the health of creeks, rules and regulation such as
No Littering , No Fishing will be implemented.
