Fire and Rescue Services Department: Procedure for obtaining No Objection

Certificate, and Fire License

1. Name of Approval/ NOC/ License/ Registration: No Objection Certificate

The procedure, documents checklist, and processing timeline for obtaining NOC are
given in the table below.

4 Procedure & a) The applicant will have to submit all documents mentioned
below to the corresponding approving authority.

Required Height of building up to 17.00 mts:

1. Requisition Letter addressed to Approving Authority


with the signature of authorised signatory.

ii. Topo Plan

iv. Typical Floor plan

Agreement/ Sale Deed including patta, chitta
copy / Lease Deed)

than single basement and height may be less than

with the signature of authorised signatory.

ii. Topo Plan

iii. Elevation plan

iv. Typical Floor plan

v. Section drawing

vi. Land ownership document copy (Rental


Agreement/ Sale Deed including patta, chitta copy/
Lease Deed)

b) The Competent Authority shall acknowledge the receipt of


the application and documents, to the applicant.

c) The Competent Authority may ask for additional


information from the applicant, only pertaining to
application form and supporting documents specified in
point a) above and that too within 5 days of application
receipt, post which no clarification may be requested.

d) The Competent Authority shall schedule an inspection of


the site after providing prior notice to the applicant.

e) The Competent Authority shall process the application and


communicate the decision (approve/ reject the application
along with comments) by post to the applicant.

5 Processing Time 30 days.

3 Approving Height of building upto 17.00 mts: District Officer, Fire and
Authority Rescue Services Department

Height of building above 17.00 mts/Building with more than


single basement and height may be less than 17.00mts:
Director, Fire and Rescue Services Department

4 Procedure & a) The applicant will have to submit all documents mentioned below

Required
Height of building upto 17.00 mts:
1. Requisition Letter addressed to Approving Authority with the
signature of authorised signatory.
2. Copy of NOC received during Pre Establishment/ Planning
Stage.
3. Copy of any other NOC received from other Competent
Authorities such as PCB, DTCP,Labour.
Height of building above 17.00 mts/Building with more than
single basement and height may be less than 17.00mts:
1. Requisition Letter addressed to Approving Authority with the
signature of authorised signatory.
2. Copy of NOC received during Pre Establishment/ Planning
Stage.
3. Copy of any other NOC received from other Competent
Authorities such as PCB, DTCP, Labour.
4. Copy of following plans approved by the concerned Competent
Authority along with their covering letter:

i. Site Plan

ii. Elevation Plan

iii. Floor Plan

b) The Competent Authority shall acknowledge the receipt of the


application and documents, to the applicant.

c) The Competent Authority may ask for additional information from


the applicant, only pertaining to application form and supporting
documents specified in point a) above and that too within 5 days
