1. The teacher asks if anyone has ever experienced a natural disaster, and
prompts them to describe their experiences.

Content Development

1. Using the students experiences or the movies, the teacher prompts the
students to describe the causes and effects of natural disasters.
2. The teacher then strings the causes and effects in sentences using
vocabularies like because, because of, caused by, due to, therefore, thus,
as such, since, so in a multi-flow chart drawn on the board.
Content 3. The teacher draws the students attention to the vocabularies as the days

1. The teacher hands out a grammar exercise to each of the students to


complete by themselves or in groups.

1. The teacher writes several types of natural disasters on the board


(volcanoes, fires, tidal waves, epidemic, tornadoes, asteroids) and asks
each cluster of students to choose one.
2. As a group, they are to construct a multi-flow chart describing the causes
and effects of the chosen natural disaster in a given period of time.

3. The groups then passed their mind map to another group to improvise or
add on, if necessary. The second group shares the final result with the
class. (LO 3)
1. The teacher encourages the students to watch any disaster-themed movie
