News
Religion: We are reading the story of Creation in a
childrens Bible storybook. We are illustrating our
own booklet about the story. We also have a set of
posters displayed in our room telling the story of
when God created the world. We are singing a
song thanking God for creating the world.
Reading: This week we are working with the
sounds ch and tch. We read a great story and a October 6. If you cant come at your
poem in our reader. We practiced reading and
writing sentences using the spelling list words.
Math: We practiced solving word problems using
pictures, connecting cubes, two sided counters and
bar models. We looked for clues in the question to
decide when to add or subtract.
Science: We are learning more about plants. On
Monday, we set up an activity using lima beans.
We are checking our seeds and watching them
grow. We planted our seeds in soil on Friday.
Language Arts: We practice writing sentences
daily. We are learning to begin each sentence with
a capital letter and use punctuation at the end of
the sentence.

Star Students
Arin was our star on Tuesday.
She shared some of her
favorite things with us. Her
mom was our guest reader.
Matthew was our star on
Friday. He brought one of his
favorite Lego characters to
share with us. His dad was our
guest reader.
