STABILITY ANALYSIS
GROUND SLAB OF CONSORTIUM OFFICE

1. General Input Data

1.1. Soil Data Properties

Consortium Office located generally within area BVB 120, BVS 236, and BVS 237. Soil data is based
on test result on those area (attached). For embankment, it is assumed have properties after
compacted as follow : = 17 kN/m3, c = 20 kPa, and = 20o

The soil properties for design input :

Layer Depth (m) (kN/m3) c (kPa) (o)
Embankment 17 20 20
Layer 1 Clay 0 2.5 16 40 0
Layer 2 Clay 2.5 7.5 15 10 0
Layer 3 Clay 7.5 10 14 30 0

1.2. Loading Data

Ground Slab of consortium office will carry on live load as 250 kg/m2. Analysis will be carried by
plaxis software with load and soil modeling as follow :

250 kg/m2

Layer 1

Layer 2

Layer 3

1.3. Ground Water Level

Ground water level will be placed on -1.3 m of depth from surface based on the borhole log data
as attached. The modeling GWL as follow :

2.3. Active Pore Pressure

2.4. Safety Factor Curve

3. Summary Report

From Plaxis program above, summary will be as follow :

Total Displacement : 18,57 mm
Effective Stress : 81,52 kN/m2 (downwards)
Active Pore Pressure : 123,92 kN/m2 (downwards)
Safety Factor : 3.1 (against actual shear stress)

4. Conclusion

1. Total displacement actual is below than limit displacement of 1/3 plate thickness (50 mm)
2. Effective stress and active pore pressure have downward direction so uplift will not occured
3. There is no matter about safety factor due to a quite high of the value
4. Overall, it shall be safe for construction.
