Admission Notification
M.Ed. Programme-2017-19

On-line application for centralized admission to M.Ed. Programme is being started on the
13th June, 2017. The last date of application is 19.06.2017.
The intending students may apply on-line for admission to 2 year M. Ed. Programme in
WBUTTEPA (Erstwhile David Hare Training College) and all the Govt. / Govt.-aided / self-
financed colleges offering M. Ed. Programme in West Bengal.
The detailed schedule of on-line admission process will be placed in our website. There may
be changes with short notifications. Therefore, all are requested to follow the website every
day.

Eligibility for admission to M. Ed. Programme

Candidates seeking admission to the M. Ed. programme should have obtained at least 50%
marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes:
i) B. Ed.
ii) B.A. B. Ed., B. Sc. B. Ed.
iii) B. El. Ed.
iv) D. El. Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each).

On-line application fees for admission to M. Ed. Programme:
Rs. 750 + Rs. 25 (Bank Charge) for students of General / OBC category
Rs. 450 + Rs. 25 (Bank Charge) for students of SC/ST/PWD category


Number of Seats

Number of seats in each college is 50. Reservations will be according to

norms.
All the details in this regard will be notified in the website before the date of
first counselling.
Deputed teachers serving in substantive posts in Teachers Training
Institutions will be given preference. These candidates will be selected on the
basis of length of continuous teaching experience.
30% seats will be allotted for Language Group, 30% Science and Mathematics
Group and 40% for Social Science Group.

N.B. Names of the Colleges are given separately. Some other colleges may be
included within a short time which will be notified in the website.

Reservation and relaxation:

Reservation of seats for SC/ST/PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates will be as per
Govt. rules. Relaxation of 5% marks will be admissible as per Govt. rules. The Reservation as
stated is not applicable for Self-financed Colleges.


Programme Fee

The selected candidates will have to deposit Rs. 5000/- (non-refundable) in cash on spot on
the day of counselling for seat-booking and the rest of the course fee to be paid to the
respective colleges. The programme fee will be as per G.O. No. 264 Edn (CS) /10M-
20/2015 Dated Kolkata, 23.03.2017(available in the university website in the column of
Latest News).

In addition to the above all the candidates will have to pay Rs. 1000.00 in cash on the day of
counselling before seat-booking.

Admission Test
There will be a written test of 50 multiple choice type questions with full marks 50.
Time for the test will be one hour and thirty minutes with negative marks of 0.25 for each
wrong answer. The questions will be mostly on B. Ed. General Papers.
List of candidates eligible for the test, date, time and venue will be notified on the
website.
