Awareness of cybercrime

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen, firstly, Id like to thank God because I didnt really expect that I
would be standing here and now I am gonna deliver my speech but, before I deliver my speech, I have
one question for you , so listen up carefully. Im a boy , and we can be friends normally , I am an
Indonesian, so we will respect each other for sure, but what if I add one more word ? Im a boy , Im an
Indonesian, and Im a Hacker . Can we still be friends ? will you still respect me ? Nope, I dont think
so, because its a cybercrime .People will think negative about that in no time.

In the Book of Andi Hamzah Aspek-Aspek Pidana di Bidang Komputer , he says, Cybercrime is
using computer technology illegaly that can be interpreted as a crime in computer field. It means many
people in the world can do Cybercrime , everybody already has computer technology. In Indonesia,
Cybercrime increases drastically with the number of cases growing by 389 percent in 2014 to 2015. Most
of the cases occurred in the e-commerce sector. It just took almost 2 years to grow that fast, what will
happen to Indonesia in the future? Can you imagine? Just because of Cybercrime.

Ladies and Gentlemen, do you know what makes people do the Cybercrime ? have you ever
thought about that? There are so many factors that cause Cybercrime. We can not blame all the
criminals for Cybercrime cases. Environment, less education about the danger of using technology
wrongly, lack of supervision from parent and teacher, a weak law for Cybercrime, and even poverty.

I had a really close friend when I was in Junior High School. He was a smart boy, and he was
really good at Computer technology. I really admired him with his good skill at computer, so did my
teacher. But what I was really sad about he used his intelligence, his knowledge about computer, and
his skill at computer on wrong way Unfortunately, my friend became a hacker , and he did it well.
He could get money from internet and I didnt know how he did it , he could change facebook password
of my friends, even mine was forcefully changed. And we didnt know how to counter or to defend it .
he could do anything as he wanted. My teachers didnt educate him pretty well how to use technology
on right way.

Ladies and Gentlemen, hacking, carding, cyber terrorism, cyberstalking still happen
everywhere in Indonesia Government of Indonesia need to strengthen more cyberlaw or law for the
cybercrime because the law is still weak , there is no law article that ensnare or catch the cybercrime
criminal in Indonesia and government need to build more specialized agencies as a crime prevention in
internet. On the other hand, we, as civilians have to realize that learning Computer and Technology is
necessary since cybercrime can come anywhere and anytime and when it comes, we are already able to
prevent it and even fight against it
