Following were the Resolutions passed in the Meeting with regard to MA
History-CBCS Course Matrix and Papers:

The BOS resolved to offer 04 groups of Soft Core papers (CBCS)


instead of the existing 05 groups. In view of the untimely demise of the
Dr. M.V. Vasu, Professor of History, Bangalore University it was resolved
to discontinue 02 Soft Core papers (CBCS) -Urbanization in India to 1600
AD and Oral History;

The BOS restructured the CBCS Course Matrix (Four Semesters) of MA


History and approved the same. It was also resolved that the restructured
Matrix will come into effect from the academic year 2015-16.

SC 2-2: THINKERS OF MODERN INDIA-SELECT WRITINGS (II Semester)


SC 2-4: HISTORY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (II Semester)

HC 4-1: POST-COLONIAL DEBATES (IV Semester), were revised with


minor changes and approved.

It was resolved that the revised syllabus of the above papers


will come into immediate effect pending approval of concerned
statutory bodies.
The meeting came to a close with the Chairperson thanking the
Members of the Board of Studies.
