Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of
this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin: 28 Lest the land whence thou
broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which
he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in
the wilderness. 29Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest
out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm,” (Deut 9:18-29).

WHAT IS INTERCESSION?

The meaning of the word intercessor in the Old Testament in Hebrew is “to impinge”, by
accident or violence, or (FIG) by importunity; - come (betwixt), cause to entreat fall (upon)
make intercession, intercessor, entreat, lay, light (upon), meet (together), pray, reach run.
Strongs.

In the New Testament the meaning of intercession in the Greek in (Rom. 8:26), is “to
intercede in behalf of”. In the remaining scripture in the New Testament intercession means “to
change (upon), to entreat in the New Testament intercession means “to chance (upon), to
entreat (in favor or against) - deal with, make intercession,” 20
INTERCESSION (Heb. paga`, to "come upon"; Gk. entunchano, to "meet with, to come
between").

INTERCESSTION OF CHRIST

This belongs to the office of Christ as Priest (see Jesus Christ, Offices of) and refers
generally to the aid that He extends as mediator between God and mankind (see Mediation). In
a particular sense Christ is represented as drawing near to God and pleading in behalf of men.

Rom 8:26-27 – “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what
we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings
which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of
the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” KJV

 Heb. 7:25-28 – “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto
God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26 For such an high priest
became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than
the heavens; 27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his
own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28 For
the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was
since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.” KJV

Thus, in harmony with the idea of intercession, He is called our Advocate.

1 Jn. 2:1-6 –“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any
man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the
propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And
hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know
him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso
keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in
him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” KJV

The prayers and praises of believers are acceptable to God through Christ's intercession.

Heb 4:14-16 – “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which
cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we
are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may
obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” KJV

Heb. 13:15-16 –’”By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that
is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 16 But to do good and to communicate
forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” KJV

1 Peter 2:4-5—“To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but
chosen of God, and precious, 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.” KJV

Rev 8:3-5 –“ And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and
there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints
upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which
came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. 5 And
the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and
there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.” KJV

The objects of Christ's intercession are the world, the whole of humanity, which He represents.
On no other ground can we understand how a guilty race could be permitted to extend its

existence upon the earth under the moral government of God. In the broadest meaning of the
term Isaiah says He "interceded for the transgressors".

Isa. 53:12 – “Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil
with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with
the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”
KJV

THE GREAT BODY OF HIS PEOPLE

In a special and peculiarly appropriate and emphatic sense Christ pleads the cause of
those who are saved and united to Him. He prays for them as "not of the world" Jn.
17.Individuals, and particularly those who penitently put their trust in Him. "Christ is the head
of every man," (1 Cor. 11:3).

"If anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father", (1 Jn. 2:1).

INTERCESSION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

In one important and moving passage, (Rom. 8:26) Spirit's intercession is mentioned in
particular and refers to the aid of the Holy Spirit given to believers that their prayers may be
received by God.

INTERCESSION OF CHRISTIANS
Roman Catholics believe in the intercession of the saints, i.e., of canonized departed
spirits. (The Bible forbids this). This is rejected by Protestants as unscriptural because it
derogates from the character of Christ, who is the only and sufficient mediator between God
and man. Also because of the supposition involved that there exists a class of glorified human
beings who have personal merits of their own, on account of which they may plead effectually
for others. A great truth is to be recognized, however, in that it is the privilege and duty of all
Christians to pray effectively for others. This is intercession in a subordinate although still
important sense. The propriety and validity of such human intercession is illustrated in the
Scriptures of both Testaments. (see, 1 Sam. 12:23; 1 Kin. 18:36-37; Matt. 5:44; 1 Tim. 2:1;
etc.).21
INTERCESSION
(in-ter-sesh'-un) (pagha`, "to make intercession"; originally "to strike upon," or "against";
then in a good sense, "to assail anyone with petitions," "to urge," and when on behalf of
another, "to intercede", ( Ruth 1:16; Jer 7:16; 27:18; Job 21:15; Gen 23:8; Isa 53:12; Jer 36:25).
A similar idea is found in enteuxis, used as "petition," and in the New Testament
"intercession."

The English word is derived from Latin intercedo, "to come between," which strangely has
the somewhat opposed meanings of "obstruct" and "to interpose on behalf of" a person, and
finally "to intercede." The growth of meaning in this word in the various languages is highly

suggestive. In the Greek New Testament we find the word in, (1 Tim 2:1; 4:5); entugchano, is
also found in, (8:26-34): Etymology and Meaning of Term in the Old Testament and New
Testament.

Corporate prayer should be practiced when praying against Satanist and witchcraft
covens. There is power when Christ’s Body (Believers)comes together in the unity of His Spirit
to pray.
(Deut 32:30), “How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight,
except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?” (KJV)

AN EXAMPLE OF CORPORATE PRAYER .

Opening to lead warriors before intercession.

Father, I acknowledge Jesus Christ as my Savior. I open my heart and ask You to remind
me of any sin or darkness there. I repent from all my known and unknown sins in Jesus
Name. I forgive every person that have hurt, harassed, harm me and I ask that you will bless
them. I submit my life to You and ask that You will lead me into deeper spiritual wisdom and
commitment. I present myself to You as a living sacrifice and that You keep me in Your love
and grace.

Intercessors should all join in prayer with the Holy Ghost prayer language in
agreement with prayer leader.

Father, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God says, “And Jesus
came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Go ye
therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded
you: and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matt. 28:18-
20). We come boldly to your throne of grace standing in the gap and holding together
against the evils that would attempt to hold or bring bondage against the issues that we
will present to You. We take the authority to bind the strongman according, “ (Matt. 16:19,
18:18).

We take authority over Satan according to (Lk. 11:20,22), and over all evil spirit
power working in and through the following: the powers of witchcraft and Satanists covens
in this country, state and city. We break all the blood sacrifices, ritualism, roots and planting,
curses, vexes, hexes and spells over our families, churches, city, state and country.

Father, you said that whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever
we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. We have the power to cast out demons in Jesus name
and tread on every serpents and scorpions in the name of Jesus. We command you Satan,
and your powers of the principalities, the powers, the rulers of darkness, and spiritual
wickedness in high places and demonic spirits of, (name any spirits the Holy Spirit brings to
mind), assigned to this prayer group and its families to be bound. You are the defeated foe.

 We yield ourselves to Your holy power by taking our position in Christ Jesus Who is
sitting in the heavenlies. We cover ourselves and our families with the blood of Jesus. We
bind all retaliating devils against everything we own, our flesh and our family. We stand in
our authority as Your children and push back the powers of darkness. We bind and cast
down the strongman and every stronghold of Satan over our lives, and families.

We loose upon Satan, his headquarters, stronghold, orders, plans, curses and
demons, the curses of the Midianites (Judg. 7:25), Ammonites, Moabites and Edomites (2
Chron. 20). Let panic, frustration, havoc, confusion, pandemonium, disasters, chaos,
destruction upon each other, the hornets of the Lord descend upon them (Ex. 23:28; Deut.
7:20). 22

Father, may Your wrath, anger, terror, fear and “the finger of God ,”(Lk. 11:20) and
the burning JUDGEMENTS of God and warring angels, and the Word of God prevent Satan’s
orders from being carried out, that the perfect will of God be done.

We bind your powers and principalities over the following people: we command
you to loose your witchcraft powers over the President; the Vice President; the Cabinet; all
Senators and Representatives; the Supreme Court; all Federal Judges, the Pentagon; State
Department; the Military, all the States, Governors; State Legislatures, Counties, Cities,
Families, and Businesses; Home and Possessions.

We cover these people with the blood of Jesus and ask You Father to loose warring
angels to everyone of these people. We thank you Father that You are loosing ministering
spirits of God on our loved ones, country, businesses. We command that the powers,
principalities and wicked spirits in high places that they must bow their knee to the Name of
Jesus Christ and let our people go. We ask You Father to send workers in the fields to
minister to their spiritual needs.

We also bind and cast down all principalities, powers, might, kingdoms, thrones,
dominions, nobles, princes, kings, rulers of darkness. We break all curses, and bind the
rulers, strongmen, doorkeepers and evil spirits of, over in and working through our entire
lives and beings; our bodies, souls, spirits, homes, schools, churches, jobs, possessions,
properties, finances, businesses, each president, owner, board of directors, employer,
employee, treasurer, customer and finances from these businesses.

We command every evil spirit to turn loose every area of our families and every
category named. We forbid hindering and retaliating spirits to cause hindrances to our
bodies, sickness, weakness, deformities and to our souls, minds, will and emotions. We
command every evil spirit that has dared to trespass against the children of God to go to
Jesus Christ to be punished before your time for touching God’s property. Father, we ask
You to loose burning judgment and destruction upon all disobedient and defiant spirits that
fail to follow these commands instantly.

We ask you Lord God to send forth ministering angels and provide the necessary
help and assistance to assure complete liberty in the Holy Spirit to all the above mentioned.

Father, we pray that you will send all the spiritual power available to You, sending the Holy
Spirit to convict, convince and draw the lost into Your kingdom.

We believe You for a great harvest of souls as we war in the heavenlies against the
powers of darkness. You said that You would give us the heathen as our inheritance. We
claim the lost souls in this area for Your glory. We are sitting in heavenly places with our Lord
Jesus Christ.

We praise You Lord Jesus and give You Glory for Your power. Amen.
