In recent decades we have experienced a revolution in the domain of surgery. There has been a shift from open
surgery to minimally traumatic surgery; that is from established and proven surgical techniques to laparoscopic surgery.
In this, the surgeon does not handle the tissues directly, but through a screen with the help of special tools. However,
the highlight of the 21st century revolution in the domain of surgery is Robotic surgery, namely the introduction of
robotic systems driven by computers, which is called to bridge the gap between the laparoscopic and open sur-
gery.
The robotic technology did not come out of thin air. The very same technology has been used to explore areas of
outer space and oceans since the 60. In the mid 1980s, the development of microelectronics and computers have
given significant impetus to the development of robotic activity, and allowed the construction of smaller robotic
systems that will enter the body and conduct surgeries.
Digital analysis has made it possible to transfer information over a long distance, and the science of artificial intel-

The digital mammography

Recently the technical capabilities have been enriched by the digital
mammography. It is about a new method of mammography, not so
much in the way that is carried out, but due to the benefits it offers,
highlighted as such: Less Radiation, Faster examination, Better illustration
and discretion in dense breasts, Saving the image to a computer
Indeed, the classical mammography has been avoided to women
younger than 35 or even 40 years of age, due to radiation. Besides it
had a rather small discretion to denser fibrocystic breasts. All of these
combined with the incapacity of the ultrasound to provide information
for the already shaped morphomas (microcalcifications, designing dis-
orders) had created a gap in the prompt diagnosis, particularly in
young ages. Through the digital mammography we tend to examine
much easier women younger than 40 years of age, with minimum ra-
diation dose; we can insert more effectively in the dense breasts that
are now examined better, we save the image and ensure the annual
comparative checks. The cutting edge technology literally solves our
hands! The digital mammography is imposed to: Women younger than
50 years of age Women with dense fibrocystic breasts regardless of
age Pre- and peri-menopausal women Both the digital and classical
mammography present exactly the same results to women older than
50 years of age with fatty breasts. Certainly, the incentive of lower
radiation dose is powerful enough so for those women to prefer the
digital mammography. The early diagnosis is intertwined with mam-
mography. All other tests are ancillary and complimentary to mam-
mography. Therefore, women are advised to use in the best possible
way the most significant weapon against breast cancer.

(vertigo, dizziness, unsteady gait, migraines, sudden falls to the
ground).
In vertigo cases we have the procedure of Video-Nystagmo-
grafy, vertigo position examination, oscillating bearing, ear
vestibular reflexes, motor / sensory balance control and irrigat-
ing labyrinth.
In tinnitus we have the determination of intensity / frequency
of these and study the possibility of remission of tinnitus, even
temporarily with a special test.
The treatments we apply are inpatient in acute deafness and
acute vertigo attacks using drugs.
In outpatient we have drug treatments, eustachian tube ven-
tilations, technical rehabilitation of vertigo with special han-
dling and vestibular exercises.
The treatment of tinnitus is medicinal with alternating NBN, with
continuous heat diaclysm, Laser, or an advisory program with
technical support and cooperation with specialist colleagues
is followed.
The treatment of hearing loss with hearing aids is made after
a detailed study of all parameters necessary for the selection
and adaptation of the right earpiece, followed by a trial pe-
riod.
In cases of invasive operations are executed by the ENT de-
partment. There is an interactive close cooperation between
ENT and us

Welcome to Kapsaliana Village Hotel, a picturesque village in
Crete rewrites its history. Welcome to a corner of the island
full of tradition, history and authenticity, created by gods and
humans.
Member of the Historic Hotels of Europe, Kapsaliana Village
Hotel in Crete offers accommodation profoundly different
from any other in the Mediterranean. A holiday experience in
a village which has been fully restored with high respect to
the history and architecture of this land.
Kapsaliana was part of the Arkadi Monastery. The story of the
settlement starts in 1600 with the construction of the church,
and continues with the creation of the olive oil mill in 1763.
More people then came to the area to work on the olive
trees and land, and built houses around the olive oil mill which,
during the peak era, accommodated 13 families and 50 peo-
ple.
Nowadays, the settlement of Kapsaliana has been converted
with love and artistry into a unique hotel. With particular care
and diligent work the olive oil mill, the church and the utility
rooms were gradually transformed into rooms and suites,
restaurant, swimming pool and lounge.
