Please be reminded to report all of your volunteer service hours at non-profit and public agencies, as well as
care hours you provide to other seniors living at home for transportation, food and meals, and home
care. RSVP is the only agency that documents the value of senior volunteerism in communities
RSVP is grateful for each and every RSVP volunteer member and the time and experience and wisdom you
contribute toward making Creek, Tulsa, Wagoner, and Washington counties a better place for everyone to

you to our list of other volunteers who prefer to be called! If you have a change in contact info or if you have

Why do I need to report Hours?
RSVP is the ONLY agency that documents the value of senior volunteers in their
community! Hours show how active, healthy and vital volunteers are to
our nonprofit agencies! It also shows up in dollar amounts saved so that
nonprofits can provide their valuable services in our communities.
4 volunteers are needed to sort and tag donations on Thursday, Oct 5 from 9:00am-3:00pm. We also need 2
volunteers to help us sell from 8-11:30, and 2 from 11:30-3:00. We need volunteers to come
help set-up, too, at 7:30 am. Call RSVP at 280-8656 and tell the receptionist that youll be here

NEW! TULSA ZOO is looking for volunteers for the upcoming TulsaZooRun, one of Tulsas oldest family friendly
races. Takes place at Mohawk Park and the Tulsa Zoo. The run is Saturday Oct. 7th, shifts run from 6:30am or
7am until 10am or 11am. Need help with registration and directional assistance. Contact

NEW! PATHWAYS ADULT LEARNING CENTER is starting a new mentoring program and hopes to include RSVP
volunteers as mentors one hour/wk to teach life skills to an adult with a developmental disability, such as how
to use a microwave, and extended basic education in math and reading, and various other skills. Volunteer
orientation sessions are scheduled for M, Tu, Th, Fri eves at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 4102 E 61st.

RSVP OF TULSA wants volunteers willing to drive non-driving older people to their medical appointments. If
you are interested in learning about this volunteer opportunity to help a peer with transportation challenges,

NEW! GRACE HOSPICE is requesting a receptionist volunteer for 2-3 hours a week. The schedule is flexible
and to be agreed upon with Grace Hospice at 62nd and Lewis.
Grace Hospice also wants (2) volunteers to help set up rooms for their Virtual Dementia Tours. Tours are
given primarily to caregivers and other medical personnel. See this link for further information and contact

NEW! BIG BROTHERS, BIG SISTERS OF OKLAHOMA wants a volunteer to assist with the volunteer process by
making reference calls, and assisting with documentation and assessments. Best times are W and Th from
11am-3pm, but time and days are flexible, during the months of Sept, Oct, and Nov. Contact

CLAREMORE VETERANS CENTER veteran residents wants a computer tutor to teach 1:1 or in small groups of
veteran residents. Must be able to set up computers, filters, and maintain the MS network. If you would like

DRESS FOR SUCCESS TULSA provides the perfect location (3103 S Harvard,
corner) and environment for volunteer women helping women learn job
skills and find employment. RSVP volunteers can serve as Suiting Specialists in the clothing boutique and can
help organize, sort, and display clothing, shoes, and accessories. Volunteers can choose a regular schedule
from 10-noon, 11:30-1:30PM, OR 1-3:00PM, or choose to be a pop-in volunteer to serve for a few hours

TULSA AVIATION & SPACE MUSEUM VOLUNTEERS are needed for varying shifts on the floor and for special
events. Training and a TASM shirt will be provided. The museum is planning an extension involving a new
hangar that will double the current space and will include a restaurant and classrooms. Experience in the

TULSA SPCA is always looking for volunteer help at locations, 2910 Mohawk Blvd and 6232 E 60th St. Direct
care of the animals and also receptionists are wanted to help in the clinic and main office. Contact

ST. JOHN HOSPITAL HOSPICE provides services to many 55+ hospice patients, many of whom benefit from a
regular weekly volunteer visit and social interaction at a variety of homes, retirement centers and long-term
care facilities in the Tulsa metro. Background check and TB screening required; volunteer training is provided.

ST. JOHN MEDICAL CENTER is seeking volunteers to fill 4-hour shifts/week at all of their locations, Tulsa,
Broken Arrow and Owasso. All volunteers will have a personal interview, background check TB screening,
immunization review, and will receive training. A volunteer benefit is a complimentary meal on your day of
service and special parking close to your volunteer service area. Volunteers are required to purchase a uniform

SPAY OKLAHOMA, INC. needs Check-In assistants to answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist clients
in checking in animals. Spay Oklahoma provides assistance to low-income households. Shifts are M-Th 7:30-
10:00am. Volunteers are asked to serve one or more days per week. Locations are:
NORTH: 501 E 36th St North, in Northland Center (ask for directions) and parking is just outside the entrance.
SOUTH: 12814 S Memorial Blvd, Bixby

XAVIER MEDICAL CLINIC at St. Francis Hospital at 11th & Garnett needs a volunteer for multiple
opportunities: receptionist, checking patients into the clinic, helping in the pharmacy. Volunteers are asked
to purchase a uniform, and pay yearly dues of $10. All volunteers receive a complimentary meal with every

OSU MEDICAL CENTER needs Wayfinder volunteers who are stationed at the Information Desk in the lobbies
to warmly greet patients and visitors, escort patients to their appointments, answer general questions and
provide wheelchair assistance. Shifts are 4-hours and on weekdays, M-F 8am to 5pm.

THE COFFEE BUNKER is seeking volunteers to provide a connection with other community military
veterans. You will be proud to give back and help serve those who have served us. Openings are for
receptionists, greeters, donations and hospitality. Shifts available are evenings and weekends: M-Th 6:00
10:00pm and Sat 11am-3pm, 3:00-7:00pm and 7:00-11pm. If you have a heart for military veterans, you will

AMERICAN THERAPEUTIC RIDING CENTER in Sand Springs needs volunteers to serve as horse leaders and side
walkers. If you prefer a hands-off support approach, help is needed with horse tack and feeding as well. ATRC
is located in Sand Springs and is a year-round facility, except for extreme heat and cold. For additional

St. Johns Sapulpa is looking for volunteers to work in the gift shop and also as greeters at the front desk. For

CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, are volunteers who become the voice for children in DHS and the
foster care system. Volunteers receive training in how to be advocates for the child in the court system. CASA

Sapulpa Community Theatre is needing volunteers to help with various theater projects. These include
organizing costumes, sewing costumes, helping construct props, volunteering to take tickets and hand out
programs, and handyman projects around the building.
Mark Your Calendar! The Creek County Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon will be held this year on
Wednesday, October 25th, at Freddies Steak House from 12:30-2:00pm.
Heart of Route 66 Automobile Museum in Sapulpa needs volunteers to help with detailing cars, caring for the

NEW WAGONER COUNTY FORT GIBSON LAKE ASSOCIATION needs volunteers to help greet and inform visitors at the
Visitor Center. Each shift is four hours, two people to a shift.
LUNCH BUDDY is a new volunteer project at Wagoner Schools. Volunteers go to school to eat lunch and chat
with pre-identified kindergarten students. Often, the children just need someone to listen. Your lunch will be
provided and we can work with your schedule to find dates and times that work for your schedule.
The WAGONER COMMUNITY HOSPITAL is currently looking for smiling faces to serve in 4-hr shifts at the
Information Desk.
RSVP CREEK COUNTY HAPPY HANDS volunteers meet on Tuesdays, from 1:00- 3:30pm at the Creek County
Resource Center, 19 N Main St., Sapulpa, where the RSVP office is located. All are invited to join in the fun!
RSVP WAGONER COUNTY NIFTY NEEDLERS are crafting Caps for Kids. Volunteer crafters make stocking caps the
kindergarten students at Wagoner Ellington Elementary School. Caps can be crocheted, knit or loomed and
you can use your patterns. Call Diana Cooper at (918) 485-8992 or wagonerrsvp@rsvptulsa.org and she will
provide you with a tried and true pattern.
NEW! BACKPACKS FOR KIDS - Union Public Schools 6/7 Grade Center needs volunteers to distribute Backpacks
for Kids food and snack bags to pre-identified Union students lockers on Fridays for two hours between
12:15-3:45pm to assure they will have food over the weekend. Volunteers delivering the food while classes
are in session helps to protect the students dignity. If you are unable to life and bend, a student helper can be
assigned to walk around and help with the deliveries with the volunteer supervising the project. Or, volunteer
with a friend! This is an easy way to help children, and also to enjoy a meaningful walk for health through the
school halls! Union is excited to welcome RSVP volunteers into their campus home! The Union 6/7 Grade

YOUTH SERVICES OF TULSA wants RSVP Swingin Seniors to mentor homeless teen clients at a
monthly social event the 4th Saturday of each month from 4:30-6:00pm. This time includes
board games, ice-cream socials, birthday parties, musical shows and more The young
teens actually came up with the name Swingin Seniors - they like us and our company!
Pre-registration is required so the YST shelter can check in approved volunteers. This is an easy and meaningful
volunteer mentoring position that means so much to a homeless child who wants adult interaction and role

READING PARTNERS volunteers provide one-on-one reading instruction with elementary school students
reading below grade level. With school just starting, volunteers are needed! Get involved!
Under-resourced schools engage volunteers to help students who struggle with reading to unlock and develop
the foundational skills they need to succeed in school and in life. By becoming a Reading Partner and
volunteering as little as one hour a week, you can help mentor and teach a child to learn to read - unlocking a
meaningful skill that is the foundation for future learning. You don't have to be a teacher to teach a child to
read. Reading Partners offers an easy-to-follow, proven curriculum and on-site support that allows you to help

EMERGENCY INFANT SERVICES needs welcome committee volunteers to greet and check-in clients, check IDs
and scan documents. This is a busy customer service position and required the ability to smile and offer a
helping hand to EIS clients. Needed weekly on TU and/or FRI from 9am to 12:30-1pm.
JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF OKLAHOMA NEEDS volunteers to enter school pre/post test scores in an Excel

regarding National Fall Prevention Day 09-22-2017, First Day of Fall, and the healthy
aging benefits of learning to do Tai Chi with RSVP volunteers and classes in Tulsa,
Wagoner, and Creek Counties.
Karen Dills, Executive Director, represented Tulsa Area United Way to present to
Community Care staff about the RSVP mission and the services RSVP volunteers provide
for the community good.
Annette Bowles, Director of Volunteer Resources, recently spoke with a group of Tapestry residents about the
many benefits of volunteering with RSVP.
Annette also attended a volunteer training class for the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerces Hospitality
Ambassadors volunteers at the downtown Doubletree Hotel.
Sherry Clark, RSVP Programs Director, was presented an interactive demo of Tai Chi: Moving for Better
Balance at the Tulsa Health Department annual picnic for employees at Chandler Park.
