Pre-Oil Filter Pressure Sensor Circuit - Voltage Above Normal or Shorted to High Source

Fault Code: 1367 Pre-Oil Filter Pressure Sensor None on performance. No engine protection for
PID(P), SID(S): Circuit - Voltage Above Normal or pre-oil filter pressure.
SPN: 1208 Shorted to High Source. High
FMI: 3 signal voltage detected at the pre-
Lamp: Maintenance oil filter pressure sensor circuit.

Circuit Description:
The pre-oil filter pressure sensor is used by the electronic control module (ECM) to monitor the lubricating pre-oil filter
pressure before the oil filters. The ECM monitors the voltage on the pre-oil filter pressure signal pin and converts it to a
pressure value.

Component Location:
The pre-oil filter pressure sensor is located on the inboard side of the oil filter head.

Shop Talk:
There are multiple ECMs for the engine models included in this manual. Each ECM has an individual source address that
displays when INSITE electronic service tool is connected. When troubleshooting a fault code, use the source address
displayed in INSITE electronic service tool to determine which ECM and circuit is affected.
The pre-oil filter pressure sensor shares SUPPLY and RETURN wires in the engine harness with other sensors. Opens
and shorts in the engine harness can cause multiple fault codes to be active. Before troubleshooting Fault Code 1367,
check for multiple faults.
Possible causes of this fault code include:
Open RETURN circuit in the harness, connectors, or sensor
A SIGNAL circuit shorted to sensor supply or battery voltage.
