CHANGING ALTN IN FLIGHT.> DEST(EX EBBR) > PUSH > CHANGE ALTN
LOW VIS IF THE A/THR SAYS RETARD RETARD , HE WILL REDUCE THE THRUST HIMSELF
( NOT IN NORMAL OPS)
AFTER START OPERATE THE ENGINES AT OR NEAR IDLE....GE : 3 min/ PW : 5 min/ RR : 5 min (3 min)
AFTER LANDING GIVE THE ENGINES SOME COOLDOWN..GE : 3 min/ PW : 5 min/ RR : 1min minimum

AUTO FLIGHT SYSTEM
FLIGHT CONTROLS
NORMAL LAW..HIGH SPEED, HIGH AoA, PITCH ATT, BANK ANGLE,LOAD FACTOR
NORMAL LAW
67
Protection deactivates : below this speed
Until 33 there is an automatic Pitch Compensation
Vls (Lowest Selectable Speed)
At 45 AP & FD comes off
Low Energy Protection : SPEED SPEED SPEED At 67 and you release the stick the aircraft goes
back to 33
ALTERNATE LAW 1HIGH SPEED STABILITY,LOW SPEED STABILITY,BANK ANGLE, LOAD FACTOR
V LAW
ALTERNATE
Max1 & 2
A Dual failure leads to ALTERNATE LAW
Absolute limit even with stick full back , Pitch up : Max between 20-30
release the stick & AoA goes back to V& Prot AP lost depends on which failure... depending on Speed & Conf
High Speed Stability SPEED SPEED
!!!!!!!!!
Vmo/Mmo : above this speed a automatic
nose up input is introduced but can be Bank Angle
A/THR automatically goes to TOGA even if A/
overridden by the pilot +AP disconnects THR was not engaged Alternate Law 1 : X but prot. still valid
-> to get out just disconnect A/THR Alternate Law 2 : X and Prot. lost !

Everything is mechanical !
Pitch Control :
Control via the Pitch Trim Wheel that moves the THS
Lateral Control :
Is accomplished using the rudder pedals + the 3OO has a
BCM(Backup Control Module) that provides Yaw Damping
and direct rudder command.
This computer has an own GEN which is supplied by B or Y
hydraulics

TO in CONF 1+F -> IAS reaches 200 KTS -> the ARS retracts FLAPS to CONF 1
The VFE CONF 1+F on the PFD changes to VFE CONF 1 (=255 KTS)
PILOT : JUST CONTINUE THE ACCELERATION AND SELECT THE FLAP LEVER TO ZERO AT S-SPEED.
EWD : NO INDICATION
FLRS (FLAP LOAD RELIEF SYSTEM) DESIGNED FOR ALL FLIGHT PHASES
In CONF 2, 3 and FULL the FLRS automatically retracts flaps to the next position if VFE is exceeded by > 2.5 KTS
SLATS remain in their present position.When speed decreases below VFE by >2.5 KTS, flaps return to the
selected position.
CONF 2 (VFE + 2,5 KTS) -> CONF 1+F IF (VFE - 2,5 KTS) -> BACK TO CONF 2
CONF 3 (VFE + 2,5 KTS) -> CONF 2 IF (VFE - 2,5 KTS) -> BACK TO CONF 3
CONF FULL (> 180 KTS + 2,5 KTS) -> CONF 3 IF(180 - 2,5 KTS) -> BACK TO CONF FULL
EWD : RELIEF
Inhibits SLATS retraction at HIGH ANGLE OF ATTACK and/or LOW SPEED when the flap lever is moved from 1
to zero
Occurs about V& PROT
& > 8,5 or speed < 148 kts the movement from the flap lever to ZERO doesnt retract the SLATS.
