Are You Ready For The Journey?

Finish
It is a new experience.
Confusion always
accompanies those who
travel a new road: How to
find our way through
Things will get easier once
you get an idea of the
whole picture

HMP&TM 2
The Objectives

To have an insight into the integration and interaction

between the fundamental knowledge of aeronautical
engineering
and
to equip with the ability of making a synthesis in a open-
ended problem,
to work as a team and
to present and defend the design finalized.

HMP&TM 3
The GOAL

To design
An Advanced Military Trainer Aircraft
based on
DRO1701-DRO1704 Design Requirements and Objectives
Documents

HMP&TM 4
The Way
Working as a team in a group supervised by an Advisor
Weekly discussions and reports
Reports and Presentation of Baseline Design, Final Design
and Special Case
Four progress reports:
1. Progress Report 1 DR&O Analysis, Configuration
Analysis, Initial Sizing, and Engine
Selection
2. Progress Report 2 Configuration Definition, Internal
Layout and Structure, and Analysis
of Aerodynamics, Weight and
Balance
3. Progress Report 3 Landing Gear Layout, Analysis of
Stability and Control, Performance
and Cost

Design Logbook

Each design team MUST prepare one Design Log book

Log Book should contain info. on team member identity
Log book must be brought during discussion with Advisor
Log book contain a summary of team weekly activity and
notes. Each team member should report his activity and
contribution, and work load (hours)
Things to include in the log book:
Discussion points, questions to be answered,
assumptions
Piece of information (clippings, charts etc)
Calculation
Etc (nearly every thing)
