Overview explanation of the content of the unit and how it explores the Salvation Topic and development of the
Human Person

A1:
The more people think about how members in families share, use their gifts to help each other, cooperate, keep family rules and join in family
celebrations, the more they wonder at love in families.

A2, A3:
This leads people to keep wondering also at God, who gave them families with the ability to relate with and care for each other.
Human families reflect God whenever they love each other and become close, like God, who is a Trinity of love.

B1:
Jesus belonged to a family: the Holy Family, which his followers celebrate in the season of Christmas. Jesus showed ways of loving family
members.

B2:
Jesus draws family members closer as they pray for each other.

C1:
To help his followers grow closer to God in their families than was previously possible, Jesus taught his followers about prayer, including
praying for each others intentions and asking Mary, the Mother of God, to pray for their needs.

C2:
Catholics often use an Advent Calendar to help them plan their prayer during the time of preparations for Christmas called Advent.
(C3):
As followers of Jesus are strengthened to live like Jesus, through prayer, they are empowered to live the Fourth Commandment in their
families. During Advent, followers of Jesus make special efforts to carry out loving actions that reflect the Fourth Commandment.

C4:
Christians continue to wonder at experiences of family and how God will help them to love the members of their families more easily as they
pray.
