Essai

My name is Mercyandy, my daily life is usually called by the name Mercy. The
meaning of my own name is being mercy / blessing for everythings. I do not understand
my parents by giving a name like that.
I was born on May 25, 1984 in Gunung Sari, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan,
Indonesia. When I was three years old my parent bring me moved to Samarinda that
become my home town. I was the last of fourth children, and of course we are a large
family. My father is a retired of mechanic at one of machine company and my mother
as a house wife take care everythings at home. I have remarriage after my first wife has
died last two year because the breast cancer that she has since 2013 and I have a
daughter from my first marriage, her name is Cinta Nazwa Violanda she was the only
one reason why I decided to remarried so theres some one can take care of her when I
go to work.
I graduated from Mulawarman University at Samarinda on 2006. Right now I
have been teaching in one of the vocational high school on Samboja named SMK PESISIR
SAMBOJA, Kutai Kartanegara Since 2005, I started teach there when I still study at
university. I have a hobby that many people know that surfing with my netbook, find
everything on internet because in my opinion nowadays every question should be have
answer. I am so interested using internet everything I need will get on it, such as for my
teaching material that I can get so many variety of lesson material which I can use on
my teaching process so my student wont be bored to study. I believed if technology will
give us very much good thing if we want.
I have pleasant personality. I am very friendly, sometimes I am shy if I meet new
people. I also fairly outgoing but not dominating, I am confident. I also intelligent so I
have a lot friends. sometimes I become annoying person and selfish. I like study hard
and I smile a lot.. I have the usual behavior makes others feel less comfortable that has
a very quiet nature and test others. I have lived in maintaining the principle of friendship
"Love is that condition in the which the happiness of another person is essential to your
own."
 I am so obsessed with someone who has a high science and humble, I hope to
have a heart like that. I take hold of my life motto is "Every successful person must have
a failure. Do not be afraid to fail Because failure is a part of success. "
In teaching I use different style, I am not focus to follow the curriculum or book
steps. I just take the final indicator of the curriculums and then I make the suitable
material for my students, I also always stats my lessons by doing some ice breaker
games. Some time I take my student to study out class, I bring them to study on the
beach based on my school territory that near the beach. In my teaching process I use
internet for many benefit such as using email for collecting student task, using social
media such Facebook to posting the task or summaries of material. In this case I make
page on facebook based on class.
Based on my experience and potential in teaching for eleven years, I interest to
take the opportunity to be an English teacher at Indonesia School at Singapore. Which
held by Kemdikbud Republik Indonesia. I feel I have qualified to be an English teacher at
Singapore because I have so many experience and varieties of teaching style that should
be useful when I teach there.
I have some motivate to take this job, some of them are because I want to raise
my ability in teaching English and will be great challenge if I can practice my ability at
other country. Im sure it will be absolutely different condition then in Indonesia. Even
it still Indonesian school, the different habitual, culture and social condition will make a
big differences. The other thing which motivated me to take this job because I want to
prove to my parents if I can do more good things. Make them proud, especially for my
wife and daughter.
Finally thats all for my short essay, I hope it can help me to pass this job
competition and my dream will be real. Thanks a lot.
