1. How would you build on this research/how would you come up on this research?

- As a criminology student who dreams of becoming a law enforcer, I wonder how the police
officers suppress the index crimes.
What do they do?
What are their plans?
Do they have a system to follow?
Is it systematic?

.. and the last question, is it effective enough to suppress the crime?

So, in order to have a glimpse of learning, I would like to make a comparison between the
angeles and mabalacat city, on how the police officers suppress the index crimes. with that, I
may be able to emulate what they are doing, when I become a police officer.

instruction, we could explain it later on the study, the specific objective of our study.

3. Why you did not have review of related literature in chapter two?

We have review of related literature. However, we are just given format by Dean Rommel K.

literature in the chapter two, we should follow the UPDATED format of incorporating it in the
chapter one.

angeles and mabalacat PNP, we are going to suggest what are the possible

The research design that we have used is Quantitative method which explains as to the
rate or total number of index crime from January to May 2017 in both angeles and

Therefore it includes the percentage of all index crimes transpired and recorded in both
cities. It is the most appropriate method we could use in order to solve our problem.

appropriate sample for your study?
Our respondents are the Philippine National Police (PNP) in both angeles and mabalacat
city.
Indeed yes! They were the most appropriate respondents of our study because they are
the one who knows how many times a certain crime was committed in their area of
jurisdiction. Hence, they are the most suitable to answer our questionnaires.

record of index crime rate in mabalacat city. Also, he was the one who helps us in
disseminating questionnaires to all police officers who are present that time. Afterwards,
we went around mabalacat to dau police station in order to conduct survey to the police
force who are assigned in the patrol and checkpoint. It took 2 days in conducting survey
around mabalacat.
After we conducted survey in the mabalacat, we roving around the vicinity of angeles in
order to float our survey questionnaire. After that, we went to the detective bureau in
Sto. Domingo angeles city to float our questionnaires and to ask their admin. Officer in
order to get the certain index crime rate in angeles city.

course of the research?
The difficulties we have encountered is that, it is not easy to conduct survey in the police
officers because we are waiting so much time before we could able to conduct survey in
the police stations because they are busy in accommodating clients such as
complainants, prison visit, and many more. There is an instance that we went to the
police station at approximately 9:30 am but unfortunately were not able to conduct
survey because police officers at that time are performing drug test among the PNP
personnel. There are police who refuse to answer the questionnaire because they are
busy. Thats why we could not able to meet our 252 respondents in both angeles and
mabalacat city.
Furthermore, the location of our respondents are indeed far. We are going to mabalacat
and angeles at the same time.
16. What are the key positive findings?
The positive findings is that, though mabalacat city has a lesser population in terms of

scope.
