CONCEPT WHERE OPEN SPACES AND SOCIAL LIVING TAKE CENTRE STAGE.

Recently, the Luxhabitat Design Studio was commissioned with a guests. They also wanted to connect the open kitchen to the social area
complete refurbishment of a penthouse in Dubai. The four bedroom to promote an open living concept as well as create a massive space
apartment currently is located in a central area of Dubai and oriented to entertain a high number of guests. They also wanted to maximise

Bespoke interior design solution driven by the pursuit of

The current living space is divided into separate rooms; the living
room space is separate from both the dining area as well as the
kitchen. The kitchen is relatively small in comparison to the rest of

wide area of table and kitchen island for the clients to enjoy an equally

 THE DESIGN
In the concept designed by us, we find an extended formal area
designed for group meetings. The colors are a lot more colder
and subtle. The whole formal area is composed simple interior
architecture with white plaster walls and concrete flooing
The exposed concrete gives us freshness and brings a raw feeling
to this room, making it the perfect choice. The neutral interior
architecture seeks to emphasize the purpose of this room.
The views are emphasized from this room, and natural light
pervadesthroughout.
The formal area is distributed in a functional manner, with the

world of saddlery and deisgn to form Grantorino.
Theres a huge amount of freedom in how you put
it all together. Its a modular sofa with an exquisite,

used range from a contemporary to modern style. As you enter, you
are graced with a formal living section of the room which has a sofa,
a daybed and two armchairs.
The concept was conceived in order to avoid closing off of the areas,
thus seeking continuity without barriers. The furniture is versatile
enough to be moved about and the arm chairs are rotatable to change
orientation. The massive table can accommodate up to 10 people and
is directly connected to the kitchen in order to offer more comfort and
convenience between the two areas.

The dining area is situated near the windows to enjoy natural light.
The kitchen area is open and connected to both the dining and seating
area. It includes a large island that can be used as a meeting point.
Its a social kitchen, which means that all appliances and cooking
areas are hidden. The island consists of a space to sit four stools for
informal dining.
Apart from the grand opening, the kitchen has other access points
to the family room and corridor. The entire kitchen designed to enjoy
natural light.To continue the seamless feel of the whole formal area
we created direct way that leads to the family room.
As we head towards the more private areas, the materials are
changed to enjoy more comfort. The flooring is parquet and there
are darker colours incorporated. To the separate family room, we
added a large comfortable and a comfortable space to sit and enjoy
watching TV, listening to music or reading.

Even though we rarely get to enjoy the
great outdoors, we pretty much are assured
of sunshine all year round here in Dubai.
Of course, this means getting the right

Because pools are being used almost all

ASTON MARTIN REVEALS ITS FIRST ENTRY TO THE NAUTICAL WORLD.
When we think of Aston Martin, a boat hardly ever comes to mind.
However, during the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2016, it released
its first two boat models, the AM37 and the AM37S; creating history for
the brand as its debut entry into the yachting world.
This day-cruiser yacht can reach speeds up to 50 knots and is seamless
in design. Conceptualised by craftsmen who invented some of the most
iconic Aston Martin cars, including the One-77, Aston Martin Vulcan and
the DB11, this boat is a force to be reckoned with.
The exterior of AM37 features dynamic proportions in a design that is
simple, yet immaculately executed. The boat is set apart by the attention
to detail in every element of its design. The wraparound windscreen
has been created from a single piece of sculpted glass fluidly draped
over the AM37s foredeck. With extreme double curvature, it sets a new
industry standard, adding seamless beauty to the overall appearance.

Sliding deck technology allows owners to cover the cockpit of the
boat completely at the touch of a button. The three lightweight carbon
panels, operated by the AM37 key, fold under the aft deck when the
cockpit is uncovered. An electro-hydraulic carbon fibre bimini top is
stowed under the engine hatch when not in use and, extending from
the aft deck, a swim platform allows for easy access to the water.
At the helm, the AM37s carbon fibre dashboard echoes styling
elements from Aston Martins most advanced sports cars. It includes
fine leather with functional features, such as the steering wheel,
throttle handles and joystick in polished metals. The boats navigation,
control monitor and entertainment systems are all integrated, with

The absolute darkness which rules in the depths of the sea is reflected
in the appearance of the Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic
Ceramica, the new Officine Panerai Special Edition which, with its
matt ceramic case, its P.9000 manufacture movement and the details
inspired by the historic heritage of the brand, represents a perfect
synthesis of history, technology and watchmaking design.
The Luminor 1950 case, with the black ceramic bridge protecting and
sealing the winding crown, is made of sandblasted black ceramic, a
material synthesised from zirconium oxide powder which is both light
and tough as well being resistant to scratches, corrosive agents and
high temperatures.
The classic shape of the case 47 mm in diameter is created by a
complex series of working and finishing operations which also give it a
particularly uniform, smooth matte appearance.
The unidirectional rotating bezel enabling the length of the dive to be
determined is made of the same matte ceramic as the case. The only
colour which contrasts with the profound black of the case and of the
dial is the ecru Super-LumiNova on the applied hour markers, the
graduated scale and the partially skeletonised hands. The date window
is at three oclock while the classic. Panerai small seconds dial is
positioned at nine oclock.

The case is sealed by a titanium back coated in black, with a
S.L.C. torpedo engraved in the middle, and hosts the hand-wound
mechanical calibre P.9000, entirely developed and executed in the
Panerai manufacture in Neuchtel. With a diameter of 1334 lignes, 28
jewels, a variable inertia balance and Incabloc anti-shock protection,
the P.9000 movement is notable for the precision of its construction.
It has two spring barrels which are constantly wound by a weight
oscillating in both directions, providing a power reserve of three days.
The movement also has a convenient system for adjusting the hour
hand which can be moved forward or backwards in steps of exactly one
hour, at the same time also changing the date displayed.
The Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Ceramica
(PAM00508) is water-resistant to 30 bar (300 metres) and it is supplied
with a black calf leather strap, fastened by a large trapezoid-shaped
buckle in brushed titanium coated in black. It has been produced in an
edition limited to 1,000 examples.
In terms of movement, the watch is automatic mechanical and
executed entirely by Panerai, It is 7.9 mm thick and has 28 jewels,
Glucydur balance, 28,800 alternations/hour and an Incablocanti-
shock device. The power reserve lasts 3 days, It has two barrels and a
197 components.

Dubai and Design Days fairs alone contributed US $35 million. The city
is no longer a newbie in the art sphere. People are investing in art like
never before and perhaps it will be in Dubai that you will uncover the
next Picasso at one of its exhibits. But beauty, especially in terms of
art, just does not lie with the beholder, expresses Guillaume Cuiry, the
Director of La Galerie Nationale, a gallery specialised in original art

On collecting art in the UAE
The investment rating is essential in any act of acquisition in the market
of art. Only a few pieces of artworks could be considered as serious
investment. After 40 years of experience, our customers expect from
us the best advice. Its a huge challenge for us. This is one of the main
reason our clients contact us. A non-specialist is often troubled by all
information he can catch on the web. Art is not pure speculation, it is an
expertise. I have never proposed an art piece showcased in my gallery
only as an investment, but we have sufficient experience to advise our
customers. When you really want to invest in art, follow the advice of
a specialist. Aesthetic and emotional arguments are not enough.
Buyer behaviors in the UAE
In my gallery, expatriates and visitors enjoy viewing artworks done
by global international artists and they also love to acquire pieces
from these artists. UAE visitors take the opportunity of a visit to
discover artists only showcased in famous museums. Thats not the
same regard. The common trait is they have the same strong interest
in art. Visitors are able to buy an artwork before any investment
consideration, but when we are talking about price, the question is
essential, in UAE like anywhere in the world.
How to start an art collection of your own
A collection always starts with a heart shot. Always. You meet an art
piece, but, in fact, the art piece selected you. Then you discover the
artist, his life, his work, his story. Then youll learn his art and the art
environment. Youll read books, visit museums, visit art galleries. An
art lover quickly becomes an Art Connoisseur, then an Art Collector. At
the beginning it is a must to be passionate. If you have the budget for
it, try to buy an artwork done by a master artist with an official quote. If
you have any doubt, please contact an expert before you buy the piece,
not after. The key point is definitely to love the piece. Its not realistic to
buy an artwork you dont like and see it every day, every week, every
month or every year. This way, if one day you decide to resell the piece,
the sale will be much easier. If you love it, others will love it too.

Constance Moofushi is a unique hideaway lo-
cated in the South Ari atoll in the Maldives.
Located 25 minutes from Male by seaplane;
all the efforts to get there just disappear as
you arrive. Powder white sands, and vibrant
blue waters are abundant in the island of
Moofushi, but what truly sets it apart is the
fact that you can snorkel straight out of your
villa!
The resort hosts a total of 110 simple
thatched roof villas split between beach and

the lagoon on two frond-like strands mak-

infinity pool. If you get a chance, say hi to the
resident heron George who often wanders
about the area and is very camera friendly!
The activities are endless at Constance
Moofushi with a house reef that hosts 32 dive
sites found within half an hour of the resort.
The snorkelling experience here is outstand-
ing with guests likely to encounter Giant
Porcupinefish, Hawksbill turtles, Orange An-
thias, and possibly even large blue Napoleon-
fish. I was also lucky to spot black tip sharks,
mantas and stingrays on my snorkel trip.

the laidback vibe are all high selling points at

is chargeable, I highly recommend a visit for
a massage in their rooms with glorious sea
views.

way to go at this resort. It is a long list of

as activities, so feel free to help yourself to
the mini bar.
After I left, all I could think of was only one

DUBAI HARBOUR
HERES WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS 20 MILLION SQUARE FEET MEGAPROJECT

In the beginning of 2017, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the
Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE unveiled plans of a project
called Dubai Harbour. Holding plenty of promise, this new luxury project
is going to have 1,400 berths and is set to be the largest in the Middle East
and North Africa region. Its to the left of the Palm Jumeirah and to the right
of Skydive Dubai and Dubai Marina.
It will also feature a cruise ship port and terminal, a shopping mall covering
3.5 million sq. feet, an events arena, residential buildings, hotels, offices,
retail stores, public services, restaurants and cafes and Dubai Lighthouse.
There will be both high- and low-rise residential buildings, as well as
waterfront villas and houses.
In terms of infrastructure, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will be
working alongside the Dubai government in order to ensure connectivity via
different transport stations throughout the area. This includes: a bridge that
connects the project directly from Sheikh Zayed Road, a monorail system
that will link to the metro from both Palm Jumeirah and Bluewaters Island.
A pedestrian bridge will also connect Dubai Harbour to Palm Jumeirah.
The aim is for the project to also have three helipads and multiple water
stations. You will be able to access the island area via a road bridge, or the
monorail system that will link both the metro and the Palm Jumeirah to
the new area as illustrated above.There will be a pedestrian bridge with

THE HYPERLOOP ONE IS THE UAES ANSWER TO HIGH-TECH TRANSPORTATION.
The UAE is one step closer to being the worlds first location for a new
form of high speed transport system that can enable people to travel from
Abu Dhabi to Dubai in twelve minutes, following an agreement signed
today between Dubais Road and Transport Authority (RTA) and pioneering
mobility company, Hyperloop One.
The idea of a Hyperloop a low-pressure tube through which levitating
pods containing both passengers and goods can travel at up to 1,200 km/h
has recently gained attention around the world. Benefits include higher
standards of safety than a passenger jet, lower build and maintenance
costs than high-speed rail, and energy usage, per person, that is similar
to a bicycle.
Director General & Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA,
H.E. Matter Al Tayer, commented on the agreement, saying, In line with the
vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President
and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai RTA is collaborating
closely with Dubai Future Accelerators to support innovative solutions for
the future of mobility.

industry, in line with the UAEs Vision 2021. With Hyperloop One, we will
create a new means of transportation, keeping our region at the forefront

Rob Lloyd, CEO of Hyperloop One said, Having signed an agreement
with DP World in August to pursue a cargo-based Hyperloop One system
at Jebel Ali port, our focus has now expanded to include connecting the
emirates. As the central global transport hub, pursuing the implementation
of a Hyperloop in the UAE makes sense. The leaders of the UAE understand
that transportation is the new broadband, with the power to transform life
throughout the GCC. We are now at a stage where, from a technological
point of view, we could have a Hyperloop One system built in the UAE in the
next five years. Our agreement with the RTA is the biggest step yet towards
achieving this goal.
Alongside the signing of the RTA agreement, the Hyperloop One team
introduced, for the first time ever, a vision that represents a complete
transformation in the way that people travel in the twenty first century.
UAES PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
THE UAE APPOINTS A NEW MINISTER OF HAPPINESS TO ITS CABINET OF MINISTERS
In Feburary 2016, following a cabinet reshuffle HH Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and
Ruler of Dubai appointed Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi as the UAEs first
Minister of Happiness. Al Roumi is one of eight women handed ministerial
roles in one of the biggest shake-ups of UAE government. Al Roumi was
previously Director General of the Prime Ministers Office in Dubai.
Hamad Al Rahoomi, an FNC member, said of the new role: I am happy
with the new position of Minister of Happiness. Its already sending a
good message that the UAE loves to see its people happy. he said. The
ministers job also involves coming up with new ideas and policies that
would help government improve peoples wellbeing so they can have happy
lives.
The legislator added that the role would help push for better services that
promote peoples welfare and ensure that all government policies and
legislation add value to peoples happiness especially in providing them
with quality and standard lives.
Al Roumi will be joined by a new minister of tolerance, Sheikha Lubna bint
Khaled al Qasimi, previously the minister of foreign trade, who became the
UAEs first female minister in 2004.
Happiness is a serious job for governments, said Ms Al Roumi. The
main job for the government is to create happiness. In 2011, the UN
encouraged the member countries to look at happiness for a holistic
approach for development.
Ms Al Roumi, who was speaking to news channel CNN, said: The
role of the government is to create an environment where people can
flourish can reach their potential and choose to be happy.
For us in the UAE, happiness is very important. I am a very happy
and positive person and I choose to be happy every day because this
is what pushes me, this is what motivates me, this is what gives a
sense of purpose to my life, so I always choose to see the glass half
full, she said.
The UAE currently ranks as 28th happiest country in the world
according to the UN World Happiness Report.

medium. She started out painting 10 years ago using her home as a
canvas. She improves her painting skills constantly by participating
