CodeMeter is the technology of Wibu-Systems providing secure

protection
and effective license management of software and digital content.
Products from Wibu-Systems support virtually all operating systems
and come
in a broad variety of form factors. CmDongle represents the hardware-
based
and CmActLicense the completely software-based variant of
CodeMeter.
Protected digital content includes desktop PC, server, embedded
system,
mobile, smart phone, and cloud computing environments.

Hardware

Please note the following hardware requirements:

Mac OS X 10.9 or newer versions
Intel processor
160 MB free hard disk space
USB port

Software

All runtime components are installed to your application folder and

your global framework folder. For more detailed information read the
'CodeMeter User Help' you open via the help menu in CodeMeter
Control Center.

Framework
The CodeMeter framework is required by all applications that will use
CodeMeter. It provides the basic access to the CodeMeter service
(CodeMeter License Server).
CodeMeter Service
The CodeMeter service (CodeMeterMacX) runs as a background
service on each device where software protected with CodeMeter has
been installed. It manages all access from protected applications to
CmContainer in which the licenses locate. Moreover, it provides for
automatic management of licenses on the local PC. Installed as a
network server, it is also capable of managing all available licenses
installed throughout a network.

CodeMeter Control Center

CodeMeter Control Center is the front end for CodeMeter License
Server and provides information about the status and the configuration
of CmContainer. Moreover, it serves for enablling or disabling a
CmDongle using a password and displaying event logs. It also provides
a wizard for remote updates of licenses.

WebAdmin
CodeMeter WebAdmin is an http based tool displayed in your default
web browser, e.g. Safari, and is used for both the information display
about the attached CmContainer, e.g. existing license entries, and the
configuration of the CodeMeter License Server. Next to status
information, all CodeMeter License Server parameters are
configurable.

cmu
Cmu (CodeMeter Universal Support Tool) is a commandline based tool
and allows you to alternatively execute some CodeMeter Control
Center functions.
