Philips has been in India for over 85 years and is the countrys leading lighting company. Our commitment in
India is to leverage the power of Innovative Lighting solutions to build a brighter and energy efficient India
with cities that are safer and more livable, offices and factories that are more productive, people who are
happier and healthier and our monuments that make us proud of our heritage.

If 100% of Indias lights are converted to energy efficient LED technology, it will save us close to 20,000 MW
of peak power and help eliminate peak power deficit in India. We at Philips Lighting India are committed to
this transformation and work closely with government organizations, industry bodies and the market
ecosystem to create the right platforms to drive consumer preference to the LED phenomenon. Our energy
efficient lights are already available at more than 1 million retail outlets spread across urban as well as rural
India. All of Philips Lightings marketing campaigns in recent years have been targeted at creating consumer
awareness about energy efficient lighting in India.

 Campus Sparks Summer Internship Program

The Campus Sparks Summer Internship Program is the flagship Summer Internship program of Philips Lighting
India. Launched ~6 years ago, it was first known as Internship for Business Leaders when Royal Philips as
an organization comprised of three business Lighting, Consumer Lifestyle and Personal Health. Starting
2016, Philips Lighting became an independent company globally and hence the need to carve our own unique
internship program was born.

As part of this program, summer interns from leading Indian Business Schools are invited for a two month
internship and are offered to work on live projects in one of the given specializations: HR, Sales & Marketing
or Supply Chain. In the two month period, the intern goes through a structured program which begins with
an induction program, that provides them an overview of the company and its key business priorities, a chance
to interact with business leaders across functions/channels and a visit to our R&D/Systems Centre. The project
duration is of eight-nine weeks that is interspersed by a mid-review followed by a final project review. Students
also compete for the Best Summer Project Award across functions during this two month period. Pre-
placement interviews are awarded to select students and on clearing the interview rounds, are then offered a
pre-placement offer for full time employment with Philips Lighting.

Business Leadership Program

Successful candidates from the Campus Sparks summer internships are invited for Philips Lightings flagship
Business Leadership Program. This is a rotational program wherein Management Trainees work on multiple
stints over a period of 12-18 months in their respective functions, thereby making them business ready and
capable for their accelerated growth path in the organization.
