Social Media Club is a Not for Profit Member organization (501c6 status pending)
organized for the purpose of promoting media literacy, sharing lessons learned, creating
a path to professionalism for media makers, promoting industry standards and
discussing important questions of Social Mediaʼs impact on society. As the worldʼs
largest group of Social Media professionals, Social Media Club represents a new breed
of associations for the post Web 2.0 world.
The San Francisco / Silicon Valley Chapter membership is comprised of marketing and
communications professionals from agencies, large companies, non-profits and small
businesses. We attract all levels of the professional and educational world, from CEOs
to students, and every level in between. We provide a forum for discussion, interaction
and professional networking, all while sharing the very latest information from the front
lines of Social Media.
In the first quarter of 2010 weʼve enjoyed sold out monthly events featuring the best
thought leaders in Social Media including; Jeremiah Owyang, Brian Solis, Jennifer
Leggio, Beth Kanter, Janet Fouts, Tom Foremski, Violet Blue, Jennifer Lindsay, Ravit
Lichtenberg, Shel Holtz, LaSandra Brill, Ben Parr, Augie Ray, Louis Gray, Emily Melton
and more.
