THE MEDIUM SECURITY
INSTITUTION
This type of institution is usually enclosed by two layers
of wire fence. The inner fence is 12 feet to 14 high with curb
and the outer fence is 8 to 12 feet high. Usually the top
portion of the fence is provided with barbed wire.
The inmates maybe allowed to work outside the fence

under guard escorts.
