Project Overview
Introduce the basic physics of Color as it relates to light. Physicists explain color as a function of
light. However, our understanding of color as artists can be complicated by scientific facts of
physics of light differs in fundamental ways from the physics of pigments. Today you will work
in collaboration (groups of 3) to complete your sculpture.

1. Documentation: Record process and group ideas- Think about the basic physics of color
as it relates to light. Think of some of the new techniques available to artists in
photography, video, and computing. Use these ideas to build on for the design of your
sculpture. Focus on the transfer of light to various parts of your sculpture.
