Module 1: Enhancing the Self

Lesson 2: Maximizing the strength

Maximizing means making the best use of and this is what you
should do with your strength. This happens when you focus on the areas
where you are most skilled, talented, and strong while avoiding your
weaknesses.

Task 1: Hit the hints

Study the following photos; do you know the characters in the

pictures? List down common traits of the characters in the collage.

You will notice that each character in the picture has

accomplished heroic achievements through progress and
development of their own strength and character.
Each of them started out simple, as their story goes on,
they thrived to evolve and develop to be more than what
they currently are.
Task 2: Say That Again

Rewriting from songs, poems, and other articles is called

paraphrasing. Paraphrasing involves taking a set of facts or opinions
and rewording them. When paraphrasing, it is important to keep the
original meaning and to present it in a new form. Basically, you are
simply writing something in your own words that expresses the original
idea.

Task 3: Attach those words

Beowulf is admired for the richness of its poetry. About a third of

the words in Beowulf are words known as Kennings. Kennings combine two
words to create an evocative and imaginative alternative word.
