TERMS AND CONDITIONS (Student’s Copy)
1. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
2. Any reimbursement will be given after the course has ended or will be used to offset other required fees related to the course.
3. All scholarships may not be used with any other Methodist College Kuala Lumpur Scholarship Awards or discounts.
4. All scholarships are not transferable for cash.
5. January intake students may use their forecast and trial examination results to apply for the Merit Scholarship Awards.
6. Students from the January intake may apply for an upgrade of their scholarship upon the release of their actual results.
7. Students from the January intake must fulfill the following conditions to be considered for the Merit Scholarship/upgrade of the Merit Scholarship.
a. Apply using the designated forms within 2 weeks of the official date of release of the SPM results.
b. Meet the Merit Scholarship conditions.
c. Meet the minimum GPA standard (overleaf) for their first semester.
8. Students from the January intake who are successful in obtaining the Merit Scholarship or an upgrade of their Merit Scholarship will have their fees (that was
paid) from the previous semester credited into their account and brought forward to the following semester. This credit may be use to contra any future
expenditure incurred by the student.
9. The College management reserves the right to award the Merit Scholarship Awards to selected applicants. Applicants are not guaranteed approval of the Merit
Scholarship Awards upon fulfilling conditions set above.
10. The College reserves the right to revoke or change the quantum of the scholarship at its sole discretion.
11. Any application for a change in the quantum of scholarship will only go into effect the following semester and not the current semester.
12. All scholarships will be reviewed at the end of every semester.
13. All scholarship holders are required to achieve at least 80 % attendance in the Pre-U Society meetings and participate actively in the programmes organized
by the College. This promotes all-round personality development.

14. Christian students are required to achieve at least 80 % attendance in the Christian Fellowship meetings held on Fridays and the events organized by the Christian Fellowship.
15. For the continuance of the scholarship in the following semester, the student is required to achieve the minimum GPA in the semester examinations as shown in the table below. If he/she fails to do so, the student
will lose his/her scholarship for the following semester.
16. Students may regain their scholarship if they meet the minimum GPA in the following semester. Merit Scholarship Minimum GPA
17. In the event of disciplinary action being taken against the student, the scholarship may be revoked, depending on the 100 % tuition 3.2

18. International Students (with O-Level results) are only eligible for the Merit Scholarship Awards. 25 % tuition 2.2
19. An A in the O-Level exam will be considered as the equivalent to a 1A in the SPM.

14. Christian students are required to achieve at least 80 % attendance in the Christian Fellowship meetings held on Fridays and the events organized by the
Christian Fellowship.
15. For the continuance of the scholarship in the following semester, the student is required to achieve the minimum GPA in the semester examinations as shown
