BACKGROUND
IEM Conditions of Contract for Works Mainly of Civil Engineering
One Day Seminar on Construction was first published in May 1989. It was modeled very much on
PWD 203 Form of Contract and was much used in private sector-financed civil
IEM Form of Contract for Civil Engineering engineering construction works. It has been a little more than two decades

scope of contractors works in respect to respective items in the contract bills.
