8.10Negative electrode grounding requirements for surge

protector withstand voltage at low voltage side of step-up
transformer

8.10.1 Introduction of thin-film cell module characteristics

The PV cell modules in the PV power generation system can be divided

into crystalline silicon cell module and thin-film cell module according to the

material.

Due to the influences of the thin-film cell module's own structure and

sealing material, the cell body corrosion often occurs during use. To slow down

the corrosion of the thin-film cell module, the DC input negative electrode of

the inverter matching with the thin-film cell module should be grounded in the

actual application.

8.10.2 Requirements for main equipment in PV power generation

system

When the DC input negative electrode of the inverter is grounded, in the

whole circuit from the inverter's output side to the step-up transformer's low

voltage side, the device connected with the ground will withstand the peak

value sum of the inverter input DC bus voltage and the inverter output phase

voltage, and therefore, special attention should be given to the withstand

voltage value of the device when selecting the type of device in the circuit.

Therefore, for the transformer connected with the inverter AC output side,

if the low voltage side of the transformer is provided with a surge protector, the

maximum withstand voltage value of the surge protector must be greater than

the peak value sum of the inverter's maximum DC input voltage and maximum

output AC phase voltage; otherwise, it may result in the surge protector

damage due to overvoltage.

10 Transport and storage

The inverter is transported as a whole, the user can use the forklift to lift

the inverter at the bottom, or use the crane and mobile crane to move it by

moving the hand ring.

Warning!

The inverter cannot be disassembled or modified either in

transportation or installation as a whole. The faults caused by

any modifications without the authorization from our company

are not covered by the warranty at all.

Warning!

Do not lean, shake strongly or force suddenly the inverter, such

as a sudden lay-down or lift, during the process of the

movement.

Note!

Before the Inverter is moved to the predetermined position,

propose to lay out the DC input and AC main power cables

well, because the cables are relatively thick, once the inverter is

installed, the cabling operation will be very difficult to

complete.
